Will there be a Friday meeting of the BBS drinking Society prior to the Stockport game?
Could you also inform me where the Society will be meeting prior to the Tranmere game (Nov), please understand that I am a non-drinker, I just want to tell you all, how you have taken the path to hell and damnation http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/redface.gif

There will be a meeting of the newly inaugerated BBS temperance society every Friday from now on. Southern baptist always welcome.
Alternatively you could try the Market Porter, nr The George.

November 24th seems to be a very convient time for a spectacular fall off the temperance wagon so yes to the Market Porter and Yes to the Curry house that I can only find whilst drunk.

Will the worshipful members be convening this coming Drinking Sabbeth (Friday lunchtime to all you non-believers) at the new church of the Porter to discuss plans for the second coming of Mr Alabama and other pressing matters?

And when will our special guest speaker, Rico Tubbs, be making a return to these shores?

Well me and Matty are convening at the church of the marquis of granby, Rathbone Place, W1 on Friday - business commitments and my busy week of drinking permitted.

Will you be doing any decorating post-drinking James? I would hate to see the results! "Well painting the cat seemed like a perfectly good idea to me at the time dear"

Words like "dead", "seen", and "wouldn't" spring to mind Al!

Are you going???

Well a freebie at the Grosvenor House til 1.30 in the morning does have some appeal, though the actual awards part of the evening is deathly.

I'll try not to get up on stage this time though. My brief career in entertainment peaked at the same venue back in February.

In short, yes, Nigel I will be there. I'll have a couple of glasses for you. I'll tell them I'm drinking for two.

Had one of my greatest ever drinking sessions at the Grosvenor with an unlimited expense account. We were smoking £40 cigars and I daren't even try to remember what we were paying for the Scotch we were drinking.

Yeah I've had numerous top nights out there over the years. I am really gonna try and pace myself tomorrow cos I am out with the new job crowd the following night.

It is a prestigious (and me!) awards ceremony that recognises and rewards innovation and achievement in the IT industry. In other words, The Oscars for anoraks! I'm only there for the house red, the brandy and the nosh. Its an annual thing for me (well one of them anyway!).

OK only 4 weeks to go and I would like to know which Pub is the starting point for a pre-match drink?
Having seen a thread that stated we are not welcome in some Pubs, I would hate to walk into the wrong Pub.

How about planning for a meeting of the BBS drinking & curry society on Friday Nov 24th?
I understand that several non-UK visitors will be attanding if one is arranged?

Alright, so where is the pre-game meeting place for Nov 18th?

What about the the BBS Drinking & Curry evening out on Nov 24th?

Looks like I may have to?

OK, I will be amongst you in 13 days and I would like to know the answer to the following questions:

1)What Pub should I head for after my arrival at Gatwick on the morning of Nov 18th?
2) What are the chances of a BBS Drinking & Curry meeting on Nov 24th?

lightweight

well seeing as no-one else seems to want to answer!!

a) Cherries is always a good bet to find an assortment of BBSers!!

b) probably too much like forward planning - hence the lack of apparent enthusiasm. I'd be surprised if there weren't a few takers though!!

Well Cherries it will be, unless of course all the members of the BBS have become teetotalers?

Having only read about the last one, I would
hope for either a visit to the George or the forementioned Market Porter & Curry run?

If I plucked anything, I would get arrested for cruelty to animals; my musical skills leave a lot to be desired as do my woodland skills.
I never found the need to go hunting in Sarf London and boy do my parents have a lot to answer for. I can just think of going hunting upon Shirley Hills, mind you I think I did; but it was not for animals http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/redface.gif

Having just closed the Trailer Park and Road Kill Supermarket and shutdown the still.
I have put on my Sunday best (Church, Weddings and Death Suit) and will start to walk to the Airyport to get on the airyplane, but first help with puhing the biplane out of the hanger and with luck I should be landing at Gatwick tomorrow morning.
Hope to be drinking some of that warm beer tomorrow lunchtime.
See ya all!
I understand that jlmatthews has stepped forward and will be the next Prez of the United States of America. If the tried to make one Prez out of Clinton, Bush & Hore, they would have a Guy who speaks out of his arse!

Alabama:

Me & the brother will be moving between The Cherry Trees and The Portmanor public houses (very quickly in order to maximise drinking time) prior to kick off.

See you there.
