We need a big physical player who will chip in with a decent quota of goals and provide Clinton with bullets (copyright kevin keegan).

Dean Windass?
Sean Goater?
Tommy Johnson?
Don Goodman? (plays for Motherwell these days woudln't cost too much)

I can see I'm gonna get slated for that last one...but I can spot a player......Nope.

Sean Goater?

With Weah and Wanchope, Goater will be third in the line at Man City. It would be a gret buy if we could get him but I doubt it because:

a) Will City be willing to sell their top scorer last season and Division One top scorer???

b) Will we be able to convince him to come???

The last thing we need at the moment is a poser like Freedman.

I still think that we should up the bid for Beattie if we have the money - £2.5m should do it. It may seem over-priced but from what I've seen he could really make a difference.

Any 2 from these 5 - all priced at approx £1m - £1.5m and all proven first division goal scorers.

Andy Booth, Dele Adebola, Isiah Rankin, Carl Asaba and Neil Shipperley

I've said it on other threads, but as a short term solution, why not Wayne Allison. No star I grant you, but the type of player we need, with a good record at this level. £250k and about £2,000 a week will do it from what I've heard. That gives Smithy time to hunt down a long term replacement, while not breaking the bank.

Lee bradbury doesn't seem to be getting a regular game with Pompy!.

Which considering they have a squad the size of Birmingham's and they are struggling, says it all really.

Let's just hope he stays there.

Apparently Efan Ekoku is available on a free from some Swiss club, but I'm not sure if he's any good these days....

Barry Hayles.

He'd be a great signing, and when Fulham go up (unfortunately not if), they'll go out and buy a big name striker, and he won't get a look in.

Great player, but no long term future at fulham, and i reckon he knows it.

A GREAT idea. He's confident..bordering on annoying but consistently performs. Can't see Fulham rewarding loyalty or the like when they go up, or if they don't http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/wink.gif
