Something is becomming more frequent in the music world lately and its really starting to annoy me!!

Lately I've noticed that artists such as Destinys Child and Wycleff Jean (both who I am a great fan of) have re-released albums! These re-releases normally include an extra cd with around 5 extra tracks and a few cd-videos. Because I'm a fan of the artists I buy their album when its first released meaning that I have to miss out on any addidtional cds they add when they the album is released again!!

Why are they doing this?! Surely they can add this second cd to the original release or allow you to buy it on its own for a small amount of money?!

Has anyone else had this problem? :grrr:

Similar scenario, but this time with 'Pseudo promos'. Basically an artist releases a single. Firstly promos are sent to DJ's etc, then a second set of promos are released in a much higher print run, lastly the single proper is released.

To illustrae, the last Depeche Mode single, I have SEVEN 12"'s and 3 CD's to obatain all the mixes. Absolute rip off, cost me well over 100 quid.

And it was really awful in the way that the gun was held to your head to ensure you bought every one of them

Actually they kind of did........ when you've collected everything by a band for 15 years you kind of feel obliged to keep it complete.

Hi JJ, got 2 of them, 3rd one I ordered then got a letter saying out of stock, *******s !!

Luckily it was only the Tenaglia mixes. The Desert after hours mix is the best one now. Mute are actually releasing an XL12bong31 to the public this time. Expect a flood of promos from the US with mixes form Brat, Club69, Beavan/Harris (which oddly is a mix of freelove but stuck on a I feel loved promoCD) and comp winner.

They've also reedited the single to the Tenaglia mix and redone the video too. However to no avail as Radio1 refuse to play it, but are playing new U2 and New Order songs...... *****.

Already 6 artists lined up to do the next single including Josh Wink & Phil Kelsey.
