He'd be a great buy but his had a £7 million price tag put on him to put people off. I reckon we could get him for about £2.5 million but loads of big clubs would bid for him so we probably wouldn't get him.

I think one of the many attractions of signing for Crystal Palace to a striker like Lua Lua (and Matt Jansen before him) is that he would probably walk straight into the first team whereas anywhere else he would only make the bench if lucky - thats why George Burley wouldnt pay £1m for a bench boy!

I don't think those figures are anywhere near what Colchester would accept for him. I reckon £1.5m would definately get him. Remember that Colchester are a tiny club have to sell to survive. I reckon you could buy the club 5 times over instead of buying Lua Lua for seven million!

Believe Newcastle are watcing him very closely. The ex-Colchester coach (and coach of Palace for all of a week or so last season - Mick Wordsworth?) now at Newcastle, is keeping tabs on him for Bobby Robson.

The guy has great potential but unfortunately in today's transfer market that comes at a high price.
