In August I signed a foreign player on loan until the end of December, but he needed a work permit first. I'm now at the start of December, and still haven't heard anything. At this rate, the loan period will be over before I do!

Is this normal?

Is there anything I can do (or should have done already) to speed up the process?

His morale throughout has been "superb". I'm not surprised, being that I'm paying his wages each week, to sit around having a nice holiday!

Well, thanks for all the advice everyone!:grrr: :grrr: :grrr:

For information, the loan period has now run its entire course without me hearing about the work permit.

That's worrying.

Mind you, it would be even more worrying if he wasn't a foreigner;)

Strange. Longest I've had to wait is also about 3 weeks. Don't know why I'm in this forum. I've had enough of this game. 7 days and it decided it wants to crash and not work again. Sod it. Think I'll just wait for the new version. Aki better be good and Clinton and Freedman better have improved!

The most worrying thing is that I've had more replies four years later, when I haven't said anything, than when I made the original post :(

I thought you was really talking about real work permits and I was trying to figure out what real manager we had on the BBS.......

I'll go back to my book now.

So let's get this right.

You not only thought that I was a real manager. You also thought that as a real manager with a problem, I'd come onto the BBS to ask for a solution? And you also therefore thought that Brett was a real manager too?

To be fair to myself I figured it out farther down the thread and then checked what forum it had originally come from (whereas I'd clicked from home page). But then I went ahead and posted to advertise my thickness ... and now I'm posting again to acknowledge it ....
