Is it Worth it?

I have Championship Manager 00/01 and play it reasonably often. Is it worth me paying out 25 nicker for the new version? can anyone give me the main differences. i.e improvements or things that are worse than the previous game.

Yes, but what's the point if it crashes and shows error messages all the time ?

No it doesn't. Not if u get the patch. The biggest improvement is the fog of war option. If u want to know what the differences are. download the demo at www.sigames.com (http://www.sigames.com).

Ive had no problems (touch wood), and i didnt download the patch. Not all have the problems Riccardo has had.

Weeeeeeelll......looks like the wood i touched was not wood but the cheap immitation! After accidentally removing some components from the folder, i uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Now everytime i load up my game (which mysteriously reappeared when i reinstalled the game, despite the fact that they should have been uninstalled?) after about a minute of gameplay i get the message

CM 0102 has caused an error in Cm 0102.EXE.
CM 0102 will now close.
If you continue to experience problems restart pc.

whats going on, do i just need the patches?

Hmmm...strange. I suggest reinstalling the game again. The reason you still had the save game file was probably because it automatically backs it up but if I were you I would back it up manually just incase.

well,i reh=kon i will buy it in around 3 weeks when i rturn home from uni. do u think that by then, the bugs in the game will have gone? or will i have 2 ownload the patch?

The game you buy in the shops will always be the original version. So yeah, you'll have to download the patch. I can't be bothered as it's 18mb and I get a few little error messages but it never actually crashes and I'm now in 2003.
