As we all know (despite it being denied vehemently) there are plenty of cliques on the BBS. The drinking clique, the secret lunch clique, the gigging clique, the swampy clique, the hooligan clique etc etc. I am not part of any of these and I feel left out.

So I am proposing the start of a new clique - the late night clique. The only criterion for joining is that you must regularly post after 11.30pm and before 7am (British time - so ex-pats and foreigners can join).

Who's in?

I realise it is unlikely that we will all meet up and do clliquey things but that isn't necessary - just some company for the long night times is all that is needed.

Please feel free to use this thread to

a) indicate that you are part of the clique
b) post any random late night bollox you want to

(I also realise it is likely this thread may end up either having no replies or being binned into CCG)

I thank you in advance.

Do you work all night?

Do you work all night? All day and most of the night at the moment. Combination of idiot clients in the UK and time zone differences with clients in Australia and the US.

I seem to get about four hours sleep time a night max at the moment and i waste a good hour of that on the BBS.

I am getting around 5 hours at the moment. Its amazing how you just learn to cope with little sleep.

I wouldn't call going on the BBS a waste - it's all lifelong learning. Like being a mature student!

Good evening. What a nice class of person you meet on the BBS at this time of night. Seeing as I'm here I suppose I have joined?
Talking of random stuff, I have just noticed on a "Streetmap" that up near Durham there is a place called Witton Gilbert. Wonder where that name came from.

Did Aus deliberately lose to England in the last ODI just so they can piss on them for three more?

If his last feed is a bottle, have you tried the next teat "flow size" up?

Failing that, it's a long, patient lower back squeezy/rubby/kneading slog until you feel the tightness ease off or move upwards. I've found that the typical "patting" thing is net to useless for my little 'un.

1-hour winding sessions at midnight aren't a rarity :(

Nope, never met Blind_Eagle. His profile mentions the Royalty Inn, which is on one of the main drags out of XChurch's centre.

Geographically, lots of warm (relatively) seawater off the coast, two rivers and a rather scarily tidal estuary. (There's a real bottleneck where the estuary meets the sea, and the currents are nasty.)

Equidistant from the Atlantic weather systems coming in from the West and moving up and across NE and from the rarer arctic weather systems that sometimes track down the North Sea and often end up parked over SE England and Anglia.

Always been a question I have struggled with, to be honest. Bert wouldn't have kept us up, but he probably would have prevented the immediate drop to Division 3. This being so, change had to come fairly soon and maybe it was for the best, if only for the development of the Youth team

Best sports presenter in the midwest baby!!! My devilish good looks. A voice that could make a wolverine purr. Loved by the public.

Well, none of that's true.

But at least I have fun when I'm on air!

The US/Mexico game.

US has only lost to Mexico in Mexico in the past 9 meetings. However, I'm not feeling good about this one. Mexico are bringing their A team and the US are bringing their B+ team. US is young up front and don't have anyone that's proven. I'm predicting 2-0 or 2-1 to Mexico.

Welcome to the wonderful world of parenthood, by the way.

It gets alot more fun. Right now my daughter has a cold and has been pitching an hour-long fit about taking her medacine.

God Mexico are an enigma. When they are bad they are bad! More interested in their hair than looking good on the pitch.

USA from what I saw (2nd half only) looked like the only winners without even breaking a sweat. Mexico looked like they couldn’t score in a brothel, and defended like a Sunday League Pub team…. And they had a good team out… most of their World Cup players etc.

The US always play like they are being coached out of a text book… very methodical, very technically sound, and very basic. Mexico had a lot of possession, but looked totally ineffective with it.

I quite enjoyed what I saw. Good crowd to.
