I hear from a reliable source that David Woozley is not exactly 'seeing eye-eye' with Mr Smith, and will be going on loan at some point soon. Maybe he should try him in the left back position first before he offloads him?

That's a shame because I thought he always looked pretty good when he played last season, which wasn't often, admittedly.

Indeed, I'm sure he could do better job than Harrison on the left side of defence..

Another player that shouldn't be allowed to be going anywhere.
I personally think he should be in the first team squad now - and it's a bad mistake if we let him go.

Look, he's not going permanently, it says it on the headline:
Woozley to go out ON LOAN
He's not selling him, he's getting him first team football which will benefit us.

and the destination is Brentford perhaps?
.....
Saturday's 4-0 mauling at Reading will force Noades to move for a First Division defender on loan ahead of tomorrow night's clash at Bristol City.

if players aren't featuring in the first team - surely it's a good thing to loan them out to get them fit - palace coaching staff can keep an eye on them - see if they fit into their plans when they return.

what is our track record with loans out? I can only think of Leon, who could not stop scoring for Peterborough nor start scoring when he came back!

Im not a great woozley fan so i reckon it could be the last we see of him..id wish him good luck if he does sign permantly for somebody but as someone earlier pointed out hes only going out on loan.. which hopfully he will benefit from..

Can you see Alan Smith and Simon Jordan doing a favour for Ron Noades???

This implies that he is not going out on loan but is being sold. That would be a mistake. He is young and looked good when he came on last season. If we are looking to the long term with Jordan, why start selling one of our most promising young players?

Am I alone in thinking Woolzey doesn't appear up to Div 1 standard. Definite lack of pace. Wish him well though.

As predicted, in my original post David Woozley has indeed gone on loan. see below:
WOOZLEY ON TRIAL WITH BOURNEMOUTH
*********************************
Bournemouth manager Sean O'Driscoll is giving a week's trial to Crystal Palace defender David Woozley as he steps his search to sign a centre back.
Woozley, 20, played 23 games for Palace last
season but has found himself out of favour this season at Selhurst Park and made his debut for Bournemouth in the reserves 2-0 defeat against Swindon.
O'Driscoll is anxious to strengthen the centre of
his defence with captain Eddie Howe out for another month following
a knee operation and the Cherries boss having failed with a
100,000 bid to sign Manchester City defender Nicky Fenton.
