Does anyone know where Pembo is in the world - I have a strange feeling he was at Crewe for a time last season, but I could be wrong - last sighting was at Leeds.
I phoned up Marky Bright on talk radio last week when he was hosting Alan Brazil's talk show and asking about "your teams best ever come-backs". I rang in with the first 5 I could think of when Marky was instrumental - it was just an excuse to talk to the great man and thank him, but I meant to ask him about Pembo at the time.
The 5 games I brought up were
1. Palace 3 Ipswich 3
2. Palace 4 Millwall 3
3. Moan U 1 Palace 2
4. Notts County 2 Palace 3
5. Villa Park.

Villa Park. Im sorry but Liverpool were rated as the best team in Europe at the time. Remember the ref, Courtney. It was 11 v 12 which made it all the more special.

Pemberton has a half share in some trendy mens clothes shop up North somewhere.
I think that he may have retired from playing due to an injury - not 100% sure though.
I remember one october/november outside the holmesdale road end, someone was selling witches masks and shouting 'get your Ian Dowie Halloween mask here'

Pembo was/is the best looking player we have ever had.

You must be joking Sandy - what about the likes of Iain Dowie and David Hopkin? http://cpfc.org/ubb/wink.gif

Dr BOB ask Neil the eagle about that. On the november issue of the palace echo a few years back, the back cover was a cut-out drawing of Iain Dowie, with eye-holes and a hole for your mouth, it was entitled "Dowie halloween mask". Top stuff!!!

Well, if I ever felt the urge to "bat for the other side" I reckon I'd have to go for a bit of man-to-man with Carlo Nash!

I saw Dowie on the underground once with his missus,he's just quite an ordinary looking bloke.I've always felt a bit sorry for him for being branded the worlds ugliest footballer, there are many more players who deserve the tag more.

My missus always thought Dougie Freedman was gorgeous...
don't know about that but his girlfriend certainly was!!
On another subject - it was Freedman who shattered my illusions of glamourous footballers when I saw him pull out of the car park after a game driving a ....k-reg ford fiesta!!
I coulnd't believe it - the man must ahve earned about £2,000 a week and I drove a better car than him

On a Dowie note - I saw him once in a nightclub in Swansea - he was surrounded by women

Mrs. Red has always had a bit of thing for Bruce Dyer (not based on his footballing ability). Myself, I was always a sucker for Martyn's tache.

Doesn't say much about the quality of men in Wales.
