View Full Version : Tonight I weep...
Chocky

I watched the first in the 'Match of the Nineties' series on telly tonight and it was the 89/90 season. They featured the 9-0, the quarter & semi finals with Marky Bright commenting, and of course the final. That ******* still equalised. Why couldn't it've just gone wide, then I could've watched Geoff Thomas picking that cup up again tonight feeling just as happy as I would've been 9 years ago. And I'll never tire of seeing those semi goals - broad smile on my face this evening as Brighty smacked the ball into the roof of the net. But, in the end, I had to weep again. You owe us Sir Gum Chewing *******.

I know the feeling Chocky. It brings a lump to my throat everytime i watch the play off final as well.Especially the bit after Hopkins goal where there is a shot of Carlo Nash with his arms in the air and you can see thousands of Palace fans in the stand going ape-s**t.Those were the days.....
This is the 15th time i've had to edit this message as i'm still pi**ed from last night

Ferguson would have been sacked if we had won that final. What would have happened then.Would the mancs have still been dominating the game?
