Does anyone use Betfair to bet on football, including betting 'in-play'? I'm fairly new to Betfair, and am interested in discussing ways of making money ... :p

Hardly ever bet on golf these days, will start when that matchplay comes round, great betting event, gutted to see McIllroy (28/1) and Karlsson (20/1) both start well as I reckon they'll both have a great year.
Yes I do bet on football on Betfair, generally not the best sport if you want to trade though (can be though if there are lots of goals)

Sorry - can you explain why football isn't a good sport to bet on?

Fine to bet on, just not great to trade on as what is happening doesn't change very often, if there are 3 goals (average is about 2.5) then only really a chance to trade 3 times.
In tennis or snooker the odds can fluctuate far more meaning it's a lot easier to move your money around, very satisfying when you have a £10 at say 4/1 and by the end you havesomething like +£50 next to both players. Of course you run the risk of trying to trade and your original selection winning easily and you not making as much as if you had left it alone, is good fun though

Well having said it's not good to trade I backed the 0-0 at 8.8 in the Liverpool game. Laid it at 2.58 to get my stake back (after about 65mins), then laid it again at 1.38, about 2mins before the liverpool goal then laid the 1-0 at 1.19 with the 5mins of time added on to win more than I originally stood to win for the 0-0 :)

Then lay instead of bet.
All my bets are with intention of a possible lay. Only breaking even though, but have had a couple of really bad bits of luck which cost me all my winnings at one point.
