These games seem popular, so let's have a bash at creating an alphabetical list of your Palace favourites over the years. All-time greats are obviously preferred, so try to avoid any donkeys unless you're totally stumped. Right, I'll start with...
...err, Lief Andersen...
...only kidding, Chris Armstrong.

Sorry, but Sun Ji Hai doesn't count for either "J" entries; Chinese surnames are listed first while the second and third are given names, ie we signed Mr Sun and Mr Fan (Ji Hai and Zhi Yi to their Mum's).
My immediate thought was Chris Jones although he fails the no crap players rule ... how about Derek Jeffries.

My late grandfather was very enthusiastic about a 1920`s Palace and Ireland ace called R.McCracken and I must say I do find the name very arresting. My own personal favourite is that 70`s hero Peter Taylor.A fine winger.

Venables, good player, promising young manager but we should have shot him after promotion in 79.

Think you're loosing the plot Simon. Posted Imlach first time around, and can't work out how Venables follows the letter "J" unless you were thinking of a four letter word using a K instead of a C.
So Steve Ketteridge to you !!!

George Irwin - played in goal in the 1920s then returned to manage the club during 1939-47. Can't have been difficult since few games were played during the war.
No, I don't remember seeing him play. Trolley might though. http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/biggrin.gif
