he was, and still is a brighton scumbag, who is related to the anti christ, who should never been allowed to manage the Palace, especially after his comments at the bridge.

The name of that person should be added to the swear filter.
Nothing more than pure, utter, total, scum

I personally know 5 or 6 Palace fans who stopped going forever when Kember was sacked and Lucifer himself was bought in.
He is a non person whose name should only pass our lips in the words of 'that' song.

How can you not have heard of Alan Mullery?
He's famous and he went to Rome to see the Pope!

Funny coincidence actually!
Who watched the World Cup documentary last night! They scanned across an England crowd and the words Croydon appeared on on half of an England flag. The second half of the flag had Chelsea!

A mate of mine was a season ticket holder before he went to work in the Far East. He returns in a couple of weeks to get married. The Godfather of his future bride is the anti - christ. The first time she heard my mate sing the Mullery song she was a bit puzzled. They came to discuss the issue and she revealed her secret past. It wasn't a problem because all her family think he's a pompous **** with ideas way above his station once he got well known in the 60's and 70's.
Please God save CPFC and let the anti christ be at the wedding once i am hammered. Any ideas what should be done?

I know we don't like him but I have never understood what the pope has got to do with it all.
Is their some deeper significance? Are we just ripping off and adapting another song? Or is it just that the words fit nicely together?
Can anyone explain?

I believe it was alleged he was a Satanist and often found late at night in the old Highgate Cemetery, digging up the graves- although this was never actually proven.
He also was a bloody lousy manager too

I think the exact opposite is true. I seem to remember a few years ago the club staged some sort of Christian dinners/conferences in Glaziers (I may be wrong about this) and that Alan Mullery was one of the guest speakers (of the Protestant variety, hence the remark about the pope).

Mullery was the ex seaweed manager. He had a little tantrum during an FA Cup replay with Palace during the seventies. This took the form of him standing in front of the Palace fans ranked behind the dugout and throwing a handful of change into a puddle. "You Palace fans aren't worth that!" He shouted. A few years later he was our new manager, and he couldn't work out why no one liked him.
He is now a born again Christian and Sky TV pundit, but he is still an arsehole.
interested in sydney.

Did anyone ever get one of the pound notes he threw on the floor after the cup replay when he said that's all Palace fans are worth. Why he was ever made manager baffles me.The only worse appointments relate to Spurs appointing Ex Arsenal men Neil and Graham.

You forgot Christian "This is a tube ticket to Finsbury Park" Gross of bananas, probably the most inept managerial appointment of all time
