Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan today pledged £4 million for new players. His team are sixth from the bottom of Division One after winning only two League games this season.
Manager Alan Smith has been desperately disappointed with their performances and claimed he needed a year to turn things around.
But Jordan said: "We need three or four more players and there is money available.
"A striker will cost £2m and we need a playmaker, who will cost another £2m. I've already spent £4m and if I can get that spending up to £8m I think we'll be okay and will finish in the top 10."
