Following on from the dope thread, I just thought I'd see what people are listening to at the moment while they light up. Personally, I am enjoying the soothing melodies and sublime musicianship of The Byrds at the moment, although recent favourites have included The Strokes, Air, Daft Punk to name a few.
Or just some of your all-time favourite smoking songs?

When I used to smoke, stuff by Bjork, Air and Faithless was great to smoke to.

I think you'll find that Feel a Whole Better is one of the greatest songs of all time.

In big sesh's of the past my favourite moment was when Orbital's "Fluffy White Clouds" came on. Classic. Another although fairly unknown is Funky Porcini album(s). Great sh@gging music as well. Even better if you're mixing the 2.

Great song. Does it make you think of a certain lady?
Personally I prefer Wasn't Born To Follow and The Ballad of Easy Rider.
I also find myself listening to a lot of 60s Soul at the moment, while I'm chilling out. Sparking up....laying back and listening to the likes of "Dock of The Bay, Soul Man, In the Midnight Hour, Let's Get It On......magic!

I hope you're talking about PW as in when he was in The Jam, as he has been cr@p ever since.

Arrrgh, yes, forgot about my copy of Central Reservation by Beth Orton... great one to listen to.
I suppose OK Computer would be good for some people... but I'm not a big fan - find it depressing and self indulgent.
For a great one off track, 'The Weekend Starts Here' by Fatboy Slim is a great track.

Been listening to a lot of White Stripes recently, but the various 60s and 70s soul classics just never lose their appeal.
Van Morrison Astral Weeks and Neil Young Harvest Moon are also essential smoking classics.

I'm not sure what you all are on about, but another vote for Lemonjelly, and Eno's "Music for Airport's", is a bit of a toe tapper.
My old fave's The White Album, Larks Tongue in Aspic, Planet Gong, Tonto's Expanding Head Band
Or was that acid?

You, sir, are a veritable god among men! Have you also tried Caravan's 'In the land of grey and pink' or Soft Machine's 'Volumes one and two'?
I guess I'd add FSOL, Luke Slater's Seventh Plain, Terry Riley (anything), The Dirty Three, Godspeed You Black Emperor (great for any mood at all, really), some JJ Cale, and you'd be surprised but some Fats & Ella really does the trick too!

I know it's an obvious one, but 'Hellhound on my trail' gives me the willies. And 'Love in vain' is so beautiful.
