...and I LOVE IT !!!
Come on you Chelsea, Brighton, Wimbledon, Millwall, Charlton Goons - come and have a go if you think you're sad enough.
I trust we'll all remember your kind support over the last 16 months when one of you gets deep in doggy doo sometime in the next couple of years.

Did you used to be lead singer with popular beat combo 'The Damned'? Who had records such as 'smash it up' in the hit parade in the 1980's?
Dont really remember many of US Seagulls ever making much of an appearance here. And as for having nothing to take the piss about, I am quietly confident that your threadbare and unexperianced squad will still be challenging for relegation with Crewe this season.
And after all, after yet another Goldberg -esk rip off paying to save you Jordan's hardly got any cash left to sort you out has he?
and.....I seem to remember you lot getting excited when MG took the helm, when will you learn?
Glad that youve managed to survive though, would have been a mare to be left with Tinpot Orient as a rival!
By the way, good bet at 10/1 for Albion to win Div3 for those of you who want to make easy money! See u in a couple of Years!

Our inexperienced squad may end up at that end of the table but at least we know we'll still be in business and in the Football League. Oh yeah, and not playing at Gillingham.

You're right, you know. Poor bloke's down to his last £20 million and has shown in one week he has absolutely no idea how to run a football club. How could we be so blind http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/sarcblink.gif

This is West Brom in 2002, right?
Dave,
I think you'll find it was Dave Vanian who was lead singer of local punk legends The Damned. David Sylvian was frontman for post-punk/new romantics Japan.
Punk or New Romantics?
Bit of thrashy guitar & gobbing every time for me.

20 mill of his own money, well that would probably buy 5 decent div 1 players tops and pay their wages for 2 seasons. Your club has to be able to finance itself which as is painfully clear from past experiance aint gonna happen!

Wow! This guy is just so on the ball again. I guess we'll have to get rid of all those useless yongsters like Mullins, Morrison, Carlisle, etc http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/sarcblink.gif
C'mon Albion, put some effort into your trolling. At least Rolling Mist got some people biting. Then again he is a bigger worm...

Albion Dan, you are really sad!
You'll never even reach Division One let alone critcise us whilst we're playing there. Us fighting relegation against the likes of Crewe, i don't think that'll happen but at least we can even do that whilst you fight for survival in staying in the Football league!
BTW, what makes you think Jordan has hardly any cash left? As Men At Work has already pointed out the amount he has and i think it's even a bit more than that so just crawl back under your sea-bed before you can even begin to compete with us.

OK - so it's not really big Dave S, leader of the new romantic pack, but he's the only pop star born in Penge so he'll have to do.
Look Albion Dan - I know things aren't cut and dried, and believe me all us Palace pragmatists will adopt very much a 'wait and see' attitude, but fair play to you, you're the only one it seems who can still be bothered to give us (not quite as poor now) sods some grief.
So - either you are 1. tenacious in your pursuit of palace schadenfreude, or 2. you ain't got much else to do.
Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Oi Men at Work - Wot U on about?
Im not denying that you have quality youth, I dont know where you conjured up your little fantasy that I thought you didnt, but you dont have the squad to acheive anything, unless Mr Jordan spends big.
Although knowing you come from Croydon I guess your Maths aint dat good man! and you probably think you can acheive success with shirt buttons!
End of story.
Oh, and your right, I havent got much to do at the moment....
Also notice a major influx of your fans on North Stand Chat recently....really doing you lot proud LOL! guess we're all bored for the next 3 weeks!

Some grudging admission from a Brighton fan about our players. What next, peace in the Middle East?
Achievement is based heavily on expectation. Moan Utd won the (yawn) Premiership last season but most people would agree that they had a very disappoionting season. We survived the season in one piece without a last day nail-biter with, as you say a "threadbare and unexperianced squad" so we saw it as one of the best in recent history. Therefore the talk about achieving anything this season comes down to expectation. For me if we finish on the fringes of the playoffs we will have had an excellent season. If we can do that while getting the Croydon area back into the club and creating a buzz about it then it will be an exceptional year. A run in the FA Cup would be nice (and passing the third round for a change would be a miracle). Realistically, anything around mid-table with a team that continues to gel would be OK with a lot of people.
I don't think we'll get promoted this season and it would probably be damaging to the club if we did. However, we have more than a few players who will be capable of holding their own in the Premiership in a couple of years. These will be the youth players and some very shrewd buys. In that way we end up with the nucleus of a good side who cost almost nothing. Follow Leicester's lead of not spending silly money and things don't look too bad. Money is important these days but last season for us proved it isn't a guarantee of success. Just look at Blackburn.
Although knowing you come from Croydon I guess your Maths aint dat good man!
Strewth cobber, I'd check your own maths because you're the one putting two and two together and getting five. Stone the flamin' crows I knew this Brighton lot were none too bright but...
and you probably think you can acheive success with shirt buttons!
No, just a lot of hard work and common sense, a lot of talent and a bit of luck

Albion Dan, I drove past the Goldstone the other day and saw the best thing ever to come out that that s*** hole.
A BK Flamer.
Right I'm not gonna lie and say that you didn't get a lot of undeserved crap but don't forget the support you did get from genuine fans of all the above mentioned, and look back to when you're situation became secure how many postings of encouraagement there were. No-one wants to see that happen to any club so don't act like you're taking on the world by yourself. No real womble, chelscum etc wanted to see anything like that happpen
but lets not pretend noneof your fans have given stick to us Charlton and Millwall, about no ground blah blah blah.
Still Goodl Luck!
