Well his name originates from the merger of two farms in Holland - 'Vennegoor' and 'Hesselink'. 'Of' means 'Or' in Dutch.

If not the Dutchman, how about 6"7 Brick Outhouse, Jan Koller,27, of Anderlecht, a Czech international, scores a lot of goals, wants to play in England. Man City lost their bottle and chequebook and pulled out of signing him.

Or perhaps free scoring winger Gert Verheyen, 30, of Club Brugge KV. Has scored 11 goals so far this season, and around £3 million should prise him away from the Olympiastadion.

Ipswich were too tight to pay above £2 million for him. It's their loss!

I reckon £5 to 6 million for the pair, proven internationals and cheap at half the price. Or shall we buy Daniella Dickieo for £2 million instead?

Palace will never get Vennegoor of Hesselink. He will only leave Twente for a big club in Holland or a very big club abroad. I think he will join Feyenoord at the end of the season...

Oh yeah, I'm a Twente fan...they're my local club.

Jan Koller would never come to a div 1 side like Palace. Anyway Joey, Twente by what I hear, arent exactly doing that well so maybe Vennegoor of Hasseilbank might well come to Palace :-)

I would asume we would need more than 2 perminent recognised strikers at the club so what about Efan Ekoku or Gordan Durie?... Both big strong players with experience who can hold up the ball.
