Never quite understood this forum. It seems to attract fans of all clubs who want to sit at their PC's thinking of various silly and usually juvenile insults to throw at one another. It usually descends into a game of oneupmanship which proves categorically that by supporting one particular club, you are, by definition a far superior human being on just about every level to supporters of another club. High brow stuff.
Given that a fair number of reasoned and intelligent supporters (of all clubs) come here and post, is there a need for a separate away fans forum where things don't have to degenerate this way ? Look at the debate on the main Palace Discussion forum a few weeks ago, when a Forest fan paid a visit. It was interesting, insightful and witty. It managed to avoid the usual 'my club's better than yours' ********, and was sooo much better for it.
Of course the kids can carry on maintaining their rivalries. Leave em to it I say..

It's called banter Harry. Some of it is funny and some it ain't I enjoy most of the posts even those from the pikeys and spunkgulls (quite often amongst the better threads). Yeah it's school playground quite often but thats the appeal to me, being so uneducated and all. You want intellectual sparring go and appear on Question Time (probably not the best of examples politicians are hardly intellectual d'oh!)

Well said docstid (spelling?). I think we can all differentiate between the living dead and posts worth responding to, and if young Harry doesn't appreciate the concept of rivalry time he found another sport, basket weaving perhaps (although I understand that can get quite nasty on occasions for the big clashes). If there's one thing that annots me it's people who come on and say how **** it is on a site. As I used to say about Mary ****ehouse, JUST TURN IT OFF IF YOU DONT LIKE IT !!!!!
