As a safe signing who would be of benefit for 2 years , how about Roger Freestone , Swansea goalkeeper ( best defensive record last year & a consistant performer . Also , Marc Edworthy has not really setttled at Coventry although his fitness needs checking - he has an excellent attitude .

I agree, we should definitely get Marc Edworthy back at Selhurst, as it doesn't look like Jamie Smith is going to get back to the form he showed briefly in the Premiership, plus Edworthy can play in the centre of defence or sweeper, providing cover for Zhiyi Fan when he is away with China.

regarding the transfer list on another thread...no-one mentioned Lars Bohinen...he'd probably be out of our price range in terms of a fee and wages but worth a try?

I would love to have Edworthy back - absolutely agree about his attitude. I found myself sitting next to a Coventry season-ticket holder on a train recently and asked if Coventry would be likely to let Edworthy go, as he has not been part of the team much of late. The Coventry fan felt that they would almost certainly want Edworthy to stay when he had recovered from his injury, as he was a good player and they would want him for cover.

Worthing Eagle, You must have read my mind. Just mentioned Edworthy and Bohinen in the 'Real Manager' thread.

I really rated Bohinen when he was at Derby and is exactly the type of player we need in the middle.
