Croydon Music Festival - Free, Saturday 13th July

Croydon Festival is on again this year, 'World Party 2002' in Lloyd Park, beer tent, live bands etc. I've been to the last few and they are top fun (if a little under populated due to being under advertised). This years headliners are Courtney Pine and James Taylor Quartet :) And it's free :p (but not the beer)

Sunday is the Croydon Mela which is also quite good. Especially the curry stalls they have there. Only drawback is that there's no beer tent:sob:

Brings back some fond memories when Little Al badgered us all day to go a couple of years back. Finally we left the pub and when we got there he couldn't believe it. Bhangra on the main stage, Onion Bhajis and Samosas everywhere and not a drop of alcohol on sale in beer tent. His face was a picture!
