Have you tried Morpheus (www.morpheus.com).
A hit and miss affair.
There is also the security implications, sometimes overblown.

Whole album? I'll be paying that a visit. Only got "Two months off" from winmx. What's the album called?
I get Sunny Fan to download stuff for me and mail it these days, it's a lot easier than doing it myself.:p

Soulseek is mainly for electronic music, but, a few users on there have large collections of 70s and 80s funk and soul in their shares.
I've heard WinMX is pretty good. I would be very interested to know if anyone has discovered an adequate replacement for audiogalaxy.

Wish someone would create an Audiogalaxy clone, it was by far and away the best one.

http://www.mediaseek.pl is a audiogalaxy clone, but, they are in serious financial trouble and just don't have the user base at the moment, nor the resources to cope with any sort of expansion.

Try searching for individual songs using google. That's how I found out about mp3sound.com and yourmp3.net, both pretty useful sites but with lots of annoying pop-ups.

Just downloaded morpheus. Easy to use and seems to do the job. Problem is I can't really think of any songs I really want so I cant tell you how successful it is.

Been using it for a while, but for music, it's not a patch on Audiogalaxy.

I would be so happy, and grateful, if someone found, The Sensational Alex Harvey Band, doing Delila. The old Tom Jones number. I have had no luck with these sites. I am ***** on a PC.
HELP! Please.

I tried to use Kazaalite but it didn't seem to work, and i heard it had bugs galore in it. Maybe i will download it again. Is it bug-free?

I am using this at the moment but the spyware/pop-ups are a pain. I might try something else.

I found Winmx to be the best of the lot so far, better than AG in my opinion, partculy as you can set it to download from other sites like kazaa and the old napster. Plus the Resume on it seems to work better than the AG one.
when the powers that be finally get to Winmx, and the other clones, its back to MIRC and ftp servers for me ;) which is where it all began !
Hence file swapping including mp3 are unstoppable, until they find a way of tagging mp3's

The resume on AG was absolutely flawless ozzie! Just let it set there and find a user with the same mp3 and resume from them. Trouble with WinMX and all the others is that I can only ever find a max of about 5 available download locations - whereas Audiogalaxy had loads.
I liked the simplicity of just selecting the files, coming back a bit later and they were almost always, without question, there.
Its just not possible to do that with WinMX or the others.
The only thing that comes close is Newsgroups imo.

I found with AG a few of the songs had jumps in them but would play on winamp but I could not burn them to CD.
Wheter it was bad data or bad resuming I don't know

You'll remember I had this problem a few months back. Never did work out how to get the damn tracks on to CD. Someone (Jaffa?) suggested Nero, but I couldn't get this without having to pay for it, so didn't bother. Any other nuggets of wisdom for the ignorant?
