I might even play my Palace 'hits' down hear in Brighton and give you a call again :)
BTW, if you're into Stella, always watch JS (Sainsburys) for promotions. As Stella is like the leading brand in the UK and JS want to increase shopper penetration where needed they promote heavily on Stella. So keep 'em peeled as Shawn Taylor used to say :)

Lived in Sunny Strood for 9 years before moving down to B*******. I hear Rochester is pretty cool these days. Upstairs at The Crown isn't too bad. I used to go down Rochester Bar/The Bull a lot many many many moons ago.

For once I was totally innocent. It was an ex-girl friends party. I turn up late, with some mates, drunk but in a good mood. A girl starts showing an interest whilst I am in the hallway chatting to some friends. I pay her some interest back ( not to would have been rude ) and suddenly some moron appears on the scene, claiming to be her fiance and 'invites' me outside to discuss things outside. Now at this stage I am totally bemused and given that the supposed boy friend is in no way my match physically I am happy to put him right to the circumstances in a totally non-violent way so I happily go to leave by the front door. And then that is it. Somebody kicks/pushes/punches me in the back and I go flying onto the lawn although happily I manage to turn around and at least I am facing the right way as I go down on my back. As soon as I hit the ground I sober up which is rather handy as 5-7 assailants start kicking and stamping ( which I assume is the moment I get the scar at ) me. Luckily I have a good mate nearby who is one of the nicest blokes you could ever meet but is also rather tasty when it comes to fisticuffs and he piles in like a wild dervish. I also lose my rag and manage to get back to my feet and once we have beaten off the intial onslaught it degenarates, especially as my other chums join in the fray, into one of those 'come on then, you want some ' frays so beloved of 99% of the supposed incidents of hooliganism you read about.
So Maidstone does not hold the fondest memorys for me,

The first game we ever played was against Chatham Colts in little 5-a-side goals. It must have been shortly after the 86 world cup. We were one nil down at half time and he scored a second half hat trick - we called him mini maradonna after that. We won 3-1

I've tried Yellow and couldn't get it to sound right. The chords for Don't Panic are easy, though -
Verse: Amin, C, Fmaj7. Chorus: Dm, Am, G, Dm, Fmaj7.
Incidentally, also got chords for In My Place, but again, I'm too crap to make it sound right -
Verse: A, C#m, E, A, F#m, C#m, E
Chorus: D, A, D

Words are flowing out like
endless rain into a paper cup
They slither while they pass
They slip away across the universe
Pools of sorrow waves of joy
are drifting through my open mind
Possessing and caressing me
Jai guru deva om
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world
Images of broken light which
dance before me like a million eyes
That call me on and on across the universe
Thoughts meander like a
restless wind inside a letter box
they tumble blindly as
they make their way across the universe
Jai guru deva om
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world
Sounds of laughter shades of earth
are ringing through my opened ears
inciting and inviting me

Currently mastering Across the Universe by the Beatles. Have there been any better lyrics ever written? Hang on a sec and I'll find them somewhere to paste into here.....
Yeah me too!
I'm not very good - i just tend to bang out chords but i really want to be able to play like Weller. Errrr, never gonna happen tho
I only tried it this morning coz i bought the Parachutes chord book and with about 60% of the tunes you have to retune your guitar.

Fair comment.
In my defence I had been, on that Friday, been drinking since midday and was on the wrong side of three Gin and tonics, 1/4 of a bottle of white white wine, a bottle of red wine, two plum brandys, a shot of unicum ( trust me, its foul, its Hungarian, its rocket fuel ) and sevral lagers before I even got to the venue.
So leaving at 10.55 was perhaps excusable ( or at leasts thats my excuse :) )

Fella? Bloody typical. :( Why is it that all the decent birds are taken? I've got this girl at work who is absolutely gorgeous. She and I get on perfectly, and it stinks that she's got a blokey up in London who she sees every weekend. It's not fair. :sob:
PS: I've changed the avatar anyway. First album is more universally approved.

No toilets mate tonight just...
Is it my imagination
Or have I finally found something worth living for?
I was looking for some action
But all I found was cigarettes and alcohol
You could wait for a lifetime
To spend your days in the sunshine
You might as well do the white line
Cos when it comes on top . . .
You gotta make it happen!
Is it worth the aggravation
To find yourself a job when there's nothing worth working for?
It's a crazy situation
But all I need are cigarettes and alcohol!
You could wait for a lifetime
To spend your days in the sunshine
You might as well do the white line
Cos when it comes on top . . .
You gotta make it happen!

My fave from that album:
There we were now here we are
All this confusion nothings the same to me
There we were now here we are
All this confusion nothings the same to me
But I can't tell you the way I feel
Because the way I feel is oh so! new to me
No I can't sell you the way I feel
Because the way I feel is oh so! new to me
What I heard is not what I hear
I can see the signs but they're not very clear
What I heard is not what I hear
I can see the signs but they're not very clear
This is confusion am I confusing you?

Thats alright us Horley lads have loads of money compared to our Sussex conterparts, I'll have and change as long as the taxi driver isn't French or a Goth.
Feel good time innit
I can feel the earth begin to move
I hear my needle hit the groove
And spiral through another day
I hear my song begin to say
Kiss me where the sun don't shine
The past was yours
But the future's mine
You're all out of time
I don't feel too steady on my feet
I feel hollow I feel weak
Passion fruit and holy bread
Fill my guts and ease my head
Through the early morning sun
I can see her here she comes
She bangs the drums
Have you seen her have you heard
The way she plays there are no words
To describe the way I feel
How could it ever come to pass
She'll be the first she'll be the last
To describe the way I feel
The way I feel
Have you seen her have you heard
The way she plays there are no words
To describe the way I feel
How could it ever come to pass

Sorry if this a wee bit predictable, but the night would not be complete without it:
Down, down you bring me down
I hear you knocking on my door
And I can't sleep at night
Your face it has no place
No room for you inside my house
I need to be alone
Don't waste your words
I don't need anything from you
I don't care where you've been
Or what you plan to do
Turn, turn, I wish you'd learn
There's a time and place for everything
I've got to get it through
Cut loose, 'cause your no use
I couldn't stand another second
In your company
Don't waste your words
I don't need anything from you
I don't care where you've been
Or what you plan to do
Stone me, why can't you see
You're a no-one, nowhere washed up baby who'd look better dead
You're tongue is far too long
I don't like the way it sucks and slurs
Upon my every word
Don't waste your words
I don't need anything from you
I don't care where you've been
Or what you plan to do
I am the resurrection and I am the light
I couldn't ever bring myself
To hate you as I'd like
I am the resurrection and I am the light
I couldn't ever bring myself
To hate you as I'd like

And while I'm at it (does anyone mind if I hijack this thread into a lyrics thread? oh well, nevermind):
Our love girl is going through changes
I don't know if I'm alive dead dying
Or just a little jaded
Someone throw me a line
You know I need it I need it bad
Lost in a maze of my own making
No way out that I can find
Send home your hard working jury
I'm going down this time
You better believe it yes you had
So if you hear me crying
Or talking in my sleep
Don't be afraid
It's just the hours that I keep
We gotta love to last for a million years
A love that could never fade
Through the tracks of your tears
All I can do is hope that you will see me fall
Do your best to smash my picture on your wall
Forgive me baby
Absolve me my dear
I've seen the future in the tracks of your tears
I've seen the future in the tracks of your tears
Of your tears
All those tears
I cast a shorter shadow with every passing day
no time to think I'm just fading away
Some kind of magic in all your hopes and fears
Shows me the future through the tracks of your tears

Horley is the centre of the universe and you all you it;)
On a nostalgic not this is the song the old boys behind me used to start the 1st year I had a season ticket.
I found an old handbag
And I filled it with lead
I hit a seaweed
right over the head
A Copper did see me
and he asked me my name
I gave him the answer
with a bicycle chain
Now the judge he said too me
Sit down my son
Your going to Borstal
for what you have done
I counted the moon beams
and I counted the stars
I counted 10000, behind those prison bars
I hate the warden and the warden hates me
So I have to stay here till my liberty.

Oh yeah.
When the weight of the world has got you down
And you want to end your life
Bills to pay, a dead-end job
And problems with the wife
But don't throw in the towel
'Cause there's a place right down the block
Where you can drink your misery away
At Flaming Moe's
Let's all go to Flaming Moe's
Let's all go to Flaming Moe's
When liquor in a mug
Can warm you like a hug
And happiness is just a Flaming Moe away
Happiness is just a Flaming Moe away.
