According to an interview today the shady sheik has put aside 400 really big ones to try and ensure that fulham not only get in to but win the Premiership. Thefore having Euopean football at the cottage.

Get this, it's a five year plan!

I know he's mad but he is easily rich enough to try and do it an he's getting on and wants to leave a legacy.

They'll still only have 6,000 season ticket holders....

I don't begrudge them it, if you think of the s.hit they've been through. Twice they played their final game only to be brought back from extinction. We of all people should understand that.

He'd have to sell Harrods (or part of it), his personal fortune isn't as high as 400 million.

He could try building a stadium to start.

If it knocks those smug g*ts from OT of their perch it'll be money well spent. http://cpfc.org/ubb/supergrin.gif

Will this make David Mellor change allegiance back to Fulham again? http://cpfc.org/ubb/wink.gif

Fulham had their last planning application turned down so there's next to no chance of them increasing Craven's size unless they scale down their plans. At the moment it hugely overscales the neighbourhood and the residents are'nt happy.

I understand that they are looking to knock the cottage down too. I’m sure that will endear them to the planning committee. http://cpfc.org/ubb/supergrin.gif http://cpfc.org/ubb/supergrin.gif http://cpfc.org/ubb/supergrin.gif

As long as they fix the exit gates. Getting out of there last year was dangerous. If there is a fire or panicked crowd then a lot of people are going to get hurt.

On the topic of Foolham, can anybody explain why the away end is still terrace?

I thought every club in the top two divisions had to have all seat stadiums.

Which will also mean that George Michael will have to watch football from another vantage point!

I think you are allowed a two or three year dispensation upon entering the first division.
