View Full Version : BBS Crashing?
I've noticed that the BBS is causing my computer to crash (IE5 windows). It's only been crashing recently, coming up with illegal operations all the time. It is only the BBS that is doing this - other sites work fine.
And I'm not the only one - zonin2000 cannot load up a single page on the BBS without it crashing - again it is only the BBS which is doing this, other sites are fine.
Anyone else having this problem?

I have the BBS home page as my home page & very occasionly this causes me to crash. To get round this I have the general forum as a favourite & I select this to get online.

Can't be the BBS causing the problems "It's wonderful"
When I log onto the BBS, as it is loading up, I get another window appear "Internet explorer script error"...an error has occurred on the script of this page.....
Line 14
Char 0
Error: unspecified error
Code 0
URL http://www.cpfc.org/
it then asks if I want to continue running scripts on this page, to which I answer "yes". After a while I can minimise this page and the BBS home screen lies underneath and I can use it normally.
This has been happening for about 2 weeks, its very annoying!! Can anyone advise, I'm not a great computer boff. Thanx!!
Unforunately the ad agency that runs the ads on the bbs use the pop up window when you enter as part of their setup.
I'm afraid I have no idea why some peoples PC's would do this-

I've found a work around. Always wait for the ad banner to appear before you click on any links on the bbs. I'm not sure if its ok to press the Stop button as an alternative, but I'd expect so.
oops thats a bit big isn't it...
