If we man mark Quinn with Fanny then we might get a win, but Smith probably won't, so,

The only Thing that Sunderland have got is Quinn and Phillips, Phillips spins off of Quinns head.If we watch that then we might have a chance.........
I still think Crystal Palace 1-3 Sunderland sorry still cannot see us winning.

Don Hutchison ? Michael Gray's bursts up the left wing and superb crosses ? And Alex Rae seems to like thundering them in from a distance recently.
If we play like we did in the second half against the Wombles then we might stand a chance. If we play like we did in the first half, God help us, every one.

2-0 Palace. Well someone has to believe in the lads and if Phillips and Quinn are marked carefully (Fan on the telegraph pole)....2-0.

I think we will raise our game, and hold them for 90 mins.
But we will lose in extra time.
They aren't that good. Just a good, hard working industrious team.
We can match them.
1-2 a.e.t.

Palace 2 (Morrison chip, Fan thunderbolt)
Sunderland 1 (Quinn header from 0.3 inches)
Philips sent off for retaliating after Razor tackle.
We miss a penalty.
BUT (please please please) WE GET THROUGH!

Palace 2 Sunderland 1 . I see that this is a popular prediction. My Palace scorers are Forssell and Pollock .

Have you noticed how most have said Palace will lose. I still think we have a chance, remember, we also have decent players like Ruddock, Morrison, Forsell etc. Just because they don't play in the premiership dosen't mean they are so much better. We've beaton Leicster City so why can't we beat em' now?

Still a little early to predict.
Depends very much on the outcome of the Watford game (result, peformance, injuries etc.)
as far as the margin is concerned by which Palace are to progress to the semi-finals http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/wink.gif.

I'm still Palace 3-2 Sunderland.
They will score two in first half from Quinn and Phillips
We will fight back and Palace will get three from Forsell 2, Morisson.

Crystal Palace 0 Sunderland 2
Of course we have a chance. More importantly we have little to lose. The Watford game is far more important. For me if we a win on Saturday we have a very real chance. However, no pressure on us on Tuesday, the important thing is to show Sky and the rest of the countery how a club should be supported.
Come on you Eagles!!....come on everyone lets create some real noise. I just have this feeling.......... bring on Liverpool!!

I'll laugh if we win 3-2 now. Always a possibilty with the amount of goals we're scoring at the moment. My prediction:
Palace 2 - Morrison, Freedman
Sunderland 1 - Phillips
I don't rate Quinn that much. Ok, he's good at heading but not a great striker of the ball. Just need a good jumper like Fan to Mark him. I don't know if Quinn will even start, he's been benched recently. COME ON THE PALACE!!!
The big problem is that we have a keeper who can't deal with crosses. So even if we play well we still concede stupid goals like two in the home game against Stockport last weekend. Surely Quinn, Philips and the rest our bound to score aren't they? I suppose our one plus point is that we've been scoring a few ourselves. If Clinton, Black, Mullins and Pollock are on form then surely we have a chance.
I'm going to say 3-2 Palace(please!), I just can't bet against my team even if most others, including all my non Palace mates don't give us a chance. Come on you Eagles!

Doc is right, the important game is Watford. And because we have nothing to lose but Sunderland can't afford a mistake, I see us coming out firing and them hanging back. We get two in the first twenty (Morrison and Razor from a corner) then they realise they're in the crap and come back. But early in the second, Forsell comes alive and buries them. 3-1. And I win a million on Lotto.

This is gonna be bloody tough.
Now we've just drawn them in the F.A Cup aswell i feel either side will win one of them.
Tuesday will be
Palace 2 (Morrison Forssell)
Sunderland 1 (Phillips)
Btw, apparently according to the Sunderland website, Quinn, Dichio, and Hutchison are major doubts for Tuesday.

Sunderland can't be happy playing an in-form and lower division team like Palace away in a cup game.
Like the Leicester game, it has all the ingredients for an upset if Palace can keep their nerve.

Gooders, the conditions were far worse when we played Stockport the other week.
As someone has already said, with the Sunderland supporters travelling down, the Sky coverage e.t.c. it will take something major now to postpone this one.

I'm sure you're right Eagle and as I'm in Berkshire I suppose the fact that the roads are once again awash around here is not really relevant.
I'm just trying to convince myself that my journey won't be wasted tonight I suppose and as I'm leaving now I'll just have to trust to luck!

There were a lot of furious Sunderland supporters when they found out the game was off.

The Sunderland fans I saw in the Wimpy bar were being fairly philosophical about it...and talking about making it home before last orders (so I can't imagine they'd actually come all the way from Sunderland!)

Oi Bow - shouldn't you be working?
Me and the boys went for special grills and brown derbies in Thornton Heath High Street (and I was reminiscing about our mis-spent youth!) and there were quite a number of Mackems in there at about 6.30 p.m.

The coditions will play a large part in the result the pitch will be heavy and if we get more rain tonight it will be a scrappy game with only a single goal seperating the teams. A last minute header from Fan the man me hopes.

I too had a dream about tonight's result but I'm afraid it was not good. As far as I remember we were getting tonked and it was about 3-0 after 20 or 30 minutes. I didn't see the rest of the game as I then had to chase a dog who'd stolen a skateboard that for some reason I'd taken into the ground. I managed to get it back off him, but only after he'd turned into the dark-haired Irish bloke off Cold Feet.
Anyway, I reckon it will be 2-2 and we'll lose on pens.
