I think everyone enjoyed themselves yesterday, and it was good to see some new faces.we started in the Old Brief at 1.00 and proceeded to drink our way through Croydon, culminating in a curry at the end of the night. Rory, after being on his best behaviour all day, decided to play up in the Indian, wanting to pick fights with members of our own group, resulting in the young waiter chucking him out. After we left, myself,Kevin T, and Nick, went back to Nicks for more beers, only to get a call from Kevins flatmate telling us that Rory was on his doorstep, trying to get in! We walked back to Kevins to get rid of him only to find him asleep at the top of the stairs. After sitting in Kevs for about an hour, we went outside to find Rory still asleep. After a few slaps around the head and a couple of kicks we woke him up, threw him down the stairs and then lost him somewhere in South Croydon. That was at about 3.00, and we haven't heard from him since!!!

The Khyber is a rip off and they should sort the fire exit out before one of you dies of drug abuse.
The day was a bit f*cked up by certain people depending on a certain person to keep them in good spirits.
C**t needs strangling.
Ended up in Buddas til closing(nice tunes innit) and lied on the lawn outside my house for a fortnight because some prick fell over and done his ankle.
The ruby was probably really nice but I can't remember it, but I'll probably be reminded in a minute.
Oh by the way, Jimmy the Piss Flaps, did I tell you you are Doooooogie?
I didn't order a f**king naan bread.
That curry cost 3 thousand pounds by the way.

Bar football, sing song in Blacksmiths, sorry, O'Neill's garden, and Lightweight's tremendous Euro Palace shirt. Can't remember much more. Apart from Curly wiping the floor with me at pool.
Oh yes, Trolley turned up in the curry house naked from the waist down singing "I've got a luvverly bunch of coconuts". He had a Pinky & Perky tattoo on his arsehole.
I cant really remember what the curry tasted like, hopefully it tasted alot better going in, than it did coming out at about 4.00am. I enjoyed it last night, and had a great time. What though happened to Dave, he just disappeared.

I really enjoyed the whole day, there were tear's shed a few err different opinions. But it was great to meet some legend's, including Dave himself although we did'nt get to chat. Chocky I would'nt go as far to say I wiped the floor with you at pool, though the bloke who beat me had THREE flukes in a row to win DOH http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/furious.gif I think it was Rory?. I thought chicken tikka massala was meant to be a rich red colour not the same colour after it been digested? http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/dead.gif Sorry I digress was nice to put names to faces hope to see some more at Crawley and the Cherries Sun 20th. No hangover should I be worried.

Certainly a great day! Many apologies about the early exit of myself and Dodger, but judging by the slalom route we took to the station, it was probably for the best. Glad I missed Rory starting on people though!
Anyway, it was very good to put some faces to the names and hopefully we can all get together again soon!

Well I think it's fair to say a good time was had by all !
Don't remember the "chalking" then Chocky !
For anyone that doesn't remember the food - it was actually pretty good !
Is Rory alive today ?
How come I couldn't find any one to take me on at Virtua Tennis after I beat Lightweight ?
And who came out as eventual table-toppers in the table football anyway ?? http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

Yes you did, pleased everyone liked it tho'.
I've just crawled onto the computer after the "other" Pub Crawl. Sorry I couldn't make the Khyber - after getting through Croydon strictly to time, it all went a bit pear shaped on the timings when the laydees turned up. Together with arguments about which/whether to do a pub at particular stops resulting in me doing two more pubs than everyone else. We had two of three half hour waits as we got a bit slacker on timekeeping
We did finish it though!!

Oh and by the way - I apologise for my mates who couldn't be arsed to make the long trip from the George to the Old Brief to come and say hi. Dunno what got into 'em (Well I do, about seven pints by that stage)

Any more injuries?

No, I was the fashionable half hour late. Sorry though I was to leave you lot, especially after the discussion about blow-jobs in graveyards, I did get the impression that the rest of the night would have been a little too rowdy for me (Jesus, I sound like Trolley!). It was good to add a few more faces to the names but, after talking to certain people, I may never watch football in the same way again http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/smile.gif

Quote of the day was when somebody (possibly Ash) aimed a friendly jibe in my direction, before Rory took the whole thing too seriously and threatened that anyone who wanted to insult me had to go through him first.
Quick on the update, Mr Mitsubishi turned to Rory and called him a fat **** !

Let's take bets on now when Rory will
1. Go into staring mode
2. Harrass a member of the opposite sex
3. Start apologising
4. Vomit
5. Get a slap
6. Continue apologising
------------------------------------------------------------------------
7. Ask me if I remember him
So how long did it take for Rory to do any of the above ?? http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/smile.gif
[This message has been edited by Teaser (edited 17 July 2000).]
1. Go into staring mode = 2 pints
2. Harrass a member of the opposite sex = 3 pints
3. Start apologising = 3 and a half pints
4. Vomit = ?
5. Get a slap = circa 12 + various illegal substances (I know 4 indian men who were fairly keen)
6. Continue apologising = 4 pints
7. Ask me if I remember him = 0 pints
new Rorycategory:
8. Tell me he likes me = 12 pints + substances + 1 curry house violent altercation.

Or maybe I'm just hungover still !
I don't expect to be particularly welcome at O'Neils anymore. The last time I went in there was after the England v Germany game, when I took more or less my entire Sunday team in there, with much the same result as Saturday. Oops.

This is the thing with Rory. Yes he's annoying and embaressing, but to be fair we were all pretty badly behaved and could have got thrown out of lots of pubs for our singing.
What you can't escape though is the entertainment factor. More fun in the Cherries next season then.

I dont whether to laugh or cry ! Rory has never been in the slightest bit offensive in my company but I have to ask the question of why the hell you invited him along in the first place. You knew he would get drunk and play up.
Also my humble apologies for not returning but by the time I had finised running around it was gone 8 by the time I met up with JV and after hearing several of you on Lightweights mobile it seemed a good idea to avoid you lot like a dose of the pox.
Instead I enjoyed several beers, was horrified at the yuppification of East Dulwich and spouted some serious BS about Richard Nixon being the greatest democrat ever. Which is odd because I always thought he was a Republican.
I agree with Matov there. Rory's a rough diamond really. I think cos everyone builds him up, he feels he can't miss the opportunity to outdo himself. He was fine all day, and just decided the time was right to steal the show in the curry house.
It's not like he didn't tell me us was 'infamous' at least 50 times is it ?
Given the amount of substances and lager he consumed, I think he behaved relatively well !
Kevin T
18-07-2000, 04:51 AM
He came and join us for a beer yesterday lunchtime. Can't remember anything, said sorry a few times, had a few beers then started acting up again.
As opposed to Saturday where we left him asleep in the T-Bar, yesterday we escaped via back entrance to leave him stranded in the bar of Coombe Lodge.
Did Lipsy make it to The Buddha Lounge after the ruby ?
(apologies for my early exit... my girlfriend told me I'd had enough before switching on my ball & chain magnet. I think she just heard Rory in the background though.)

Myself and little al went back into O'Neills (The corner House) last night for a couple of drinks and they remembered us instantly. Expecting to be asked to leave, we were in fact pleasently surprised. We chatted with the landlord for over an hour and he helped us to piece together what had happened in that pub. He thought we were "great fun" and was impressed by our singing. He even asked us back after the Crawley game.
All I can say is we must have spent a few quid in there.

I remember him not being bothered by the singing, but didn't like it when some of us started the "stick the blue flag up your arse" song.
And it is NOT O'Neills, it's the Blacksmiths Arms, always will be, in the same way the Whitehorse is the Whitehorse, NOT the Sainsbury's or the My Family & Other Animals Stand or whatever it's bloody called now.
