Assuming that all the stands are in working order and the takeover has happened, it could be a truly festive occasion in front of the cameras giving us a brilliant opportunity to show how passionate and loyal everyone is!

I will be coming back from Edinburgh that day and will be travelling at that time, so needless to say I will miss it. Maybe I can get someone to tape it for me ?

Hmmmm. Notification of the first League match showing Palace at home since Moses was in nappies then James hints (again) that completion may occur. Considering the payments Sky makes to the home team I wonder if there's been a little backroom dealing with the FL along the lines of giving us a few more televised games this season to facilitate the takeover.

Or a feeling of guilt after the *******s left us out all last season.

I'll be giving Sky my own personal brand of abuse, especially that biased fat f*cker Brazil.

Well, this has to be good news!

If Sky is putting us in their schedules so early, does this mean we're SAVED yet?

Better still, I get back from my hols the day before and stood a good chance of missing the game on saturday.

Where's the catch? There has to be one somewhere doesn't there? Transmission from the Priestfield so that all the fans can watch it at Selhurst on the big screen?

Oh, Bugger!!

The catch is that with a 1:00pm KO, we don't get much drinking time...

Les, are you honoring us with a visit ?

If so it would be great to meet the man behind the legend http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/wink.gif

Oh, and Paul, I am sure that we could persuade the nice people in the Alliance to open up early and perhaps lay on a nice breakfast ?

Why, Why, Why, Why?

Why is Sky showing a Palace home game, no they don't give a damn otherwise we'd have had several last season, I just cannot understand it.

A song sung so loud that every sky viewer can't help but hear it, wouldn't go amiss. You know the sort, one giving maximum embarrassment to them.Something along the lines of " where the **** were Sky last year"
but being a humble F blocker I'll leave it to you lot in blocks A & B to think up a final version.

Budgie, I know that, you know that, but lets keep it hush hush, there's a few people around who'll get upset.

Well, the game has been moved back to my birthday. After more of them than I care to remember am I going to get my best present ever? Palace still in business, playing at Selhurst?

Still not holding my breath.

Palace live on TV is great news.

These TV rights that were just awarded, are they for the coming season or the one after?

Bloomin' typical innit !

First game of the season where everyone's up for a good time and Sky FINALLY decide to show a game on tv and at Sunday lunchtime !

Still - the last time we had a Sunday TV fixture (co-incidentally also against QPR about four seasons ago !) - I seem to
remember that we won by 3 or 4 nil !

Well I certainly didnt marry my wife for her bloody diary reading ability. It now turns out we are leaving for our holiday on the Blackburn Game, and despite me begging, she will not go to Cornwall via Blackburn. We do not come back for 2 weeks. Ive now got to try and find a pub in Wurzel land which will have sky on. Any ideas Sandy, Ill be near Bude

Actually think it might be a good thing that it's the first home game that's on tv.. people are probably quite likely to turn up on the first game - to meet up with people they haven't seen since the end of last season, because it's been a long time since they saw any live footie, enthusiasm that a new season brings etc.. so hopefully the crowd numbers won't dwindle because of tv and we'll look and sound really good for the cameras.

Selhurst - a 1pm k.o. means more celebratory drinking time afterwards!! http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/smile.gif never mind the monday morning hangover you might get!! http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/smile.gif http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/beer.gif

oh and Alan, you must be referring to home games, as I can (unfortunately in some cases) recall at least one sunday tv game away from home more recently .. hopefully this one will give us a chance to vary the trend and win convincingly in front of the cameras for once... there's that optimism coming back again..... http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/smile.gif

It also means getting up for work the following day after a longer drinking session ! - I feel a day off coming on http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/supergrin.gif

And yes indeed - you are right Lightweight - the game I'm refering to is the last home Sunday match we had televised which was I think 3-0 - Hopkin and Shipperley scored two of them - Dyer might have got the third.

I think the last game we had on tv on a Sunday at all was Bolton away under Mr Vegetables ??

Yup - you're both right - as I'd been at those but missed Bolton, I'd completely forgotten them !!

Was just wondering if anybody has seen the full list for Nationwide games to see if we are actually are on anymore after QPR.
Also another coincedence which could be an omen for Palace, the game your all referring to when we beat QPR on SKY 4 years ago was on a sunday when Muscat,Shipperley, and Hopkin got the goals, the game finished 3-0, last season when we played them at home the game was switched to the sunday because of England playing the day before, the final score being, 3-0.
I just wonder if we can make it a hat-trick of 3-0 next season?
