I suggest that we make it one big party, get as many people as we can down there with party hats, balloons, streamers poppers
etc. Maybe even fancy dress!!
What do you all think?

must admit that I haven't looked into this at all yet (not counting chickens etc etc) but I wonder how many people will be driving to this one as I seem to remember public transport isn't the easiest - what about having a meet up in Croydon (or somewhere) in the evening afterwards??

Just a suggestion

Train from Horley to Three Bridges about 10.45, several http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/beer.gif 's in the Snooty Fox outside Three Bridges Station, cab to the ground and too pis*ed afterwards to care whether I end up in Croydon or not. Ahhh, this is the life. http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/supergrin.gif

Train from East Croydon to Crawley takes 30 minutes. The Broadfield stadium is only about a mile from Crawley station and there's always taxis available.

Crawley town centre isn't the greatest but there are plenty of pubs to visit!

According to the local rag the Crawley manager was trying to contact Ian Wright to play for them against us but couldn't get hold of him.

There's quite a few Woolpackers going. Let's hope there's a good turnout. It'll give the team a boost if there's loads of support.

cheap beer in the clubhouse and I don't think you need to be a member. Will be there early as its 2 mins from my house, will be falling home http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/smile.gif

I'm going, probably use the club house for a beer, I've also heard you don't have to be a member. By the way, what time is K.O.

I too heard the clubhouse was a good bet - will probably try that myself.

Selhurst - yes first one to do - I'll try to put something together on Crawley - if anyone wants to mail / PM me then that would help with me compiling something.

For those who haven't been there before (and that sounds like most of you - shame on you !!!) - Crawley's clubhouse AND ground are both excellent - the clubhouse puts Crystals to shame (which I have to say isn't difficult !).

Will dig out some details on it all and post shortly ......

Just wondering if anybody can help.
I assume this game will be pay at the gate and was wondering if anybody had any faint idea of how much it will cost to get in and are there any wheelchair places for disabled supporters?
Any help would be much obliged

there are definately wheelchair places, but I don't know how many. I think that it's six pound on the door, but will check today, when I get up. I will enquire about a wheelchair place if you want me too. It's a good excuse to go down the club when I' on holiday http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/smile.gif

Uncle James Varcoe,
I shall be very disapointed if I hear that your nephew Oliver missed this, his first pre-season friendly.
Yours faithfully

their disabled facilities are good (only downfall last time was that they were with the home support!)- there there is a lift to halfway in the main stand and several wheelchair spaces - there are also several parking spaces for orange/blue badge holders right outside the main stand. The stewards were all very helpful.

Can't remember how much it cost last time.

Hope that's of some help.

I went with my sons last time and I remember thinking that the prices were reasonable. Probably about 5-7 quid for adults and under a fiver for kids?

We sat in the stand last time having just turned up half an hour before kick off but I have a feeling that there will be more Palace there this time!

I'm fairly certain that I was staggered by an £8 asking price to get in last time.

..and that is supposed to make me rest easy?
Oliver's first return visit to London without his father and his uncle takes him into the Lions Den.
Make sure you lend him a scalpel and a surgical mask James.

The game will be pay on the day and will not cost the earth, so bring as many as you can. It's always a good atmosphere when the Eagles swoop in. Entrance to the club house is included in you gate admission, but no-one will stop you going in there before the game. Gate prices for Crawley can be found at http://www.crawley-town-fc.demon.co.uk/prices.html Although it says prices haven't been announced for the friendlies it's a safe bet to expect those prices. There are also spaces for wheelchairs, at both ground level and raised.
