I am glad - other half is happy to come to football with me and it saves us ending up paying over the odds to be rammed into an overfull restaurant.

When I read this thead it made me realise how we all get caught up in a media frenzy, well what I'm trying to say is I can't stand valentines day it's bullshit. Why do we need it? The media will convince you that you need to buy cards for valentines day, mothers day, fathers day, halloween, ...oh.. it goes on and on, it's American bullshit, the marketing side that is. Now don't get me wrong I'm not anti-capitalist but do we realy need this rubbish to put us under so much pressure, haven't we got enough to contend with, ok I've had a few and I'm "ranting" so excuse my spelling and grammer but my whole point to this is, the reason we are playing on a monday in the first place is because of TV, the media, marketing and I just think it's ironic that that the two overlap, I know where I will be on monday, north London as much as I hate it.

My missus isn't exactly impressed. But I suppose this happens when you (Permiershit) sell your soul to Sky. The Premier league bosses are a greedy bunch of FAGGS!!!

andy m
12-02-2005, 10:07 AM
Don't blame SKY. Sure they're at fault but on the plus side our two best attacking players were on international duty midweek as was our best goalkeeper for ten years. I'm just pleased none of them are injured and they've had an extra break!

Oh, and takeaway and Palace on the telly for me and the Mrs. Apparently its a "compromise".

I can't find any other suitable thread to ask this so I'll ask it here. I was thinking of going to The Greyhound in Carshalton to watch the game on Monday evening. Does anyone know if (a) they will be showing it and (b) whether they have sorted all the problems with their Sky box out after the ManU game?

If my missus was so insensitive to my needs as to buy tickets for anything when she knew that either there was a Palace game that I wanted to go to or it was on TV she would become and Ex ! I am not joking its not the fact of me missing football but her not valuing what she knows is important to me in any event if I were you I would not be going to this concert !
