I overheard a radio 5 live report saying that already some non-league games have been postponed due to the fuel crisis....how long before Nationwide games are called off? I hope Norwich goes ahead, I've got rid of the kids for the weekend and me and the wife were going to make a weekend of it, hotel the lot, all pre paid.......poo

Anyone hear this or anything similar?

Yes, League have said tonight & tomorrow's games should go ahead but they are reviewing the situation on Thursday with regard to weekend league & next weeks' Worthington Cup programme.

I take it that in these circumstances that people with season tickets to any club will obviously get their season ticket stubbs vaild for the replays?

Also, depending on how long this goes on. If absolutely loads of games get postponed, can you imagine the end of the season with loads of games to fill in. Teams will have a nightmare programme of games each week.

Might make the reason for all those extra training sessions suddenly become very obvious http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/smile.gif

Bristol City said their game was off because they couldn't guarantee that the minimum required number of stewards would turn up.

Strange reasoning if you ask me. Couldn't they just co-opt some fans into it? It hardly needs a lot of training does it?

Gooders - Bristol City's reason is totally implausible and I can't believe the League have let them get away with it. If the fans can get to the game, why can't the stewards? I was going to go there and back and I live 125 miles away!

I think there is another reason - something to do with their form (even worse than ours!) and blatant opportunism.
