View Full Version : Nasty bloke who Sits near me !

Everytime we have won this year I have tried to saviour every moment of it. But on Saturday I couldnt help but feel that the plebb who sits one seat away, ruined it for me. I cant begin to desrcibe how awfull this little rodent is. He swears agressively in every sentence and spits venom at anybody including out players. He must have called Clinton at F'ing piece of scum about 25 times during the game. He's been bad all season (I believe he has moved from further down in the Holmesdale) but Saturday was the worst. The reason I am posted this is I really dont know what to do. I realise that I could just tell him to shut up but this could end in a nasty scene and the last thing I wanna do it end getting banned for whacking this little plonker. I'm thinking of phoning the club, but i dont know what they can do. I dont wanna move cause me and my Dad have been sitting there since the stand opened 10 years ago. And to add insult to injury this moron is sitting in the same seat my Granddad sat up until he passed away nearly two years ago.
Any ideas people ?

Can you not tell the club as you know where he sits?

Great seats IMO. And am considering contacting the club as is my Dad.

I had a similar problem with someone in the Holmesdale Lower. I contacted the club and arranged to be moved for the second half of last season.

I realise that doesn't help you as you don't want to move, but it shows the club are willing to be co-operative in matters of this nature.

Pub Idol,

Taking the 'Law' into your hands is clearly NOT an option and personal intervention could be fraught with 'Danger', hence I would humbly suggest that you contact the club stating the precise seat number of the 'Ruffian' in question and perhaps steps will be taken to keep a watch on the hoodlum to ensure that such behaviour and despicable bile is confined to the 'Dustbin' of history.

Come and sit in the Arthur. Nicest fans in the ground.

Not looking forward to next Saturday though, when we get invaded by Cantona masks. :(

We might have. I would imagine many of the people who sit near, have a problem with this bloke. Most of us sitting there in the area have been there a while. I dont wanna say exactly where I sit. But if anyone else thinks they might no the culprit then I would be interested to hear there opinons.

Based on the scant information provided it would seem unlikely that any kind soul on the 'Good Ship BBS' would be able to identify the culprit on the basis that there are perhaps a number of 'Ruffians' who fit the description.

It's getting ridiculous. I was singing for Palace the other day, nothing insulting to anyone bigging up the team I love, "Iain Dowie's Red 'n' blue army I sang" over and over trying to get others to sing and out of nowhere, some thug twats me. As I'm laying on the floor I hear him shouting "fu** off, Palace wa**er, go back to your own club, this is the Den and we 'ATE Palace!!"

Same thing happened at The Valley too!!! Maybe South London isn't as wonderful as we all thought....

If this is the actualite, I would humbly suggest that 'The Bear' needs to be 'Caged' some distance AWAY from Selhurst Park.

i sit in row 21 and am dead in line with the penalty spot (seat 83) and i'm not sure who you're talking about. I have a young family sitting to my right and a older couple sitting in front.

I've had this seat since the seats were first installed.

Agreed there Gooders, I sat there twice this season including Saturday and being a normal Holmesdale goer I did find it better

That's where I sit as well (AW), and it's mostly excellent. However, there was a couple of morons two rows behind me on Saturday. They constantly slated Bruce, Morrison and Gray (which they are entitled to do), but seemed miffed that nobody else around them was joining in.

His "Pennant, pick up the soap" gag was, ahem, the embodiment of hilarity

Hmmm, I sit around there, a bit further forward, and there's a right tit a row or two behind me that might be the same guy, nots sure he's quite as bad as you've described though, so it may not be the same guy.

I am delighted to report that the area in which I am seated certainly does NOT attract the more disreputable 'elements' of society and whilst support is far from vociferous it is certainly without any vitriol or defamation.

What's the ladies' toilet at Victoria got to do with it?

Hello neighbour! Two friends and I sit in front of the young family. One day I will murder the kids for kicking the back of my seat repeatedly! Actually they're not too bad, we've had worse nearby in the five years we've been in the seats including the guy who was on the end of the row one year and got the hump everytime someone wanted to get by. I can't figure out who it is that's mouthing off all game down in front though...?

I can certainly 'empathize' with the chappie if he has to endure a 'Flow' of supporters either arriving after the start, just prior to half-time,after the second half has commenced or just prior to the end of the game.

Where exactly were you sitting. I came to the game with my brother as my own match was postponed and I was "enjoying" some fierce banter with the Brum fans!

Inside of the halfway line - nearer the Sainsbury's End. If you were 'enjoying' some banter, it would suggest you were probably a lot nearer the Brum boys.

I did, but my visit was a one off this season. I was threatened with certain death after the game by several Brum fans, got led out the back by the stewards for them to calm the situation down. Whilst under escort form the kindly stewards a Brum fan punched me in the throat. I very kindly refused to press charges, and returned to my seat to watch the rest of the game. Wow, see you all next season.

The guy in question is probably mid twenties short mousie hair about 5.1 and ugly.

I would love to chin this guy but for obvious reasons I'm not going too.
My Dad is away on business currently when he gets back in a few days I'm sure one of us will phone the club. I was thinking about taking my nephew on Saturday ( who is nearly 7) But I genuinely think he would have been disturbed by this creature. My Nephew is not shy either.
