Iv been looking at the physio room site, and it states a return date of 19th March. Any thoughts?

Don't think he should be risked against Chelsea - it's very unlikely we'd get anything out of the game either way.

Would rather he trained and came to the Boro match fresh.

Wouldn't bet on it my friend. Apparently he's only
just started 'running outside' as Dowie called it.
Might be wrong but my guess is that he wont be back till
April if at all. Seems to be an ongoing saga.

He will have to play at least one reserve match before being put in the 1st team.

Can't be that shit.

He scored against your Champions League winning team.

But then you probably wouldn't know that

Whats up? Thinking of changing allegiances? It's much more fun supporting a real team. :)

Think you shouln't take physioroom as "gospel".

Don't think ID would consider bringing Ventola in without at least one reserve outing. Once you've seen him play for the reserves, then start hoping he can come back.

I think that the sooner everyone forgets about Ventola leaping in to save us, the better, cause IMO it ain't ever going to happen. On the other hand, it does keep meaningless threads alive.

syd, no promises to eat you hat if he scores for us this season?

Andy Street helped us get a point against Manure with such a promise!

He might need some reserve matches after such a long and serious injury

If he can stay fit he will be a huge boost to us during the run in, it may give us the edge.

if he is fit for the last 6 games we will stay up. i dont think people realise how good a player this guy is. hopefully we will see him up front with aj next season in the premiership. pottentially one of the best partnerships around imho

Dowie said in the middle of last week that it would be two weeks before he was near playing. That would be 16th 17th March.

We have 3 Reserve fixtures coming up:

Wed Mar 16 Leicester City
Tue Mar 22 Derby County
Wed Mar 30 Watford

Then on April 2nd we play Middlesborough at home.

If he's going to play in that game or be on the bench I'd expect a couple of reserve outings maybe against Derby and Watford before then.

He won't be back for Chelsea - and I'd be shocked if we considered playing two strikers anyway.

In view of last night's European histrionics, I see this as a rather appropriate moment to say:

WHO ARE YA??????
