Birmingham - Drinks in the ground?

In the Birmingham travel details, it states you can get a drink in the ground. Can anyone confirm this?

I think I picked that info from a internet fans guide which is run by a birmingham fan so it should be accurate.....

although I'd never say 100% categorically after the fish n chip shops & bulldoze pubs etc......
