I'll be there Dave - in the pub ......
Please answer the question!
Where will you all be drinking?

Dave.
I'll be at the Slurping Toad on Hurst street.
It's in the city centre and to find it, turn right out of New Street station, past some music shops and turn right at lights. It's on the left hand side. Safe to Palace fans as it is away from the ground.
Should be a few there.

Are ticket available on the door? (although if this farce continues I might just sit in the pub all day).

Dunno yet - haven't decided.
Will give you a call on the day and let you know - what time are you leaving ?
Leaving about 10am to get there by 12:30 but then I am going to spend an hour in Brum looking at where I used to work and hang out:
Is the Slurping toad on Queensway then?

We should be there around the same time or a bit before then - I'll find out where you are.
I'm sure Matt can answer that one for you - we stopped off on the way in last year, not in the town itself.

Now coming as well as my teams game for Saturday has just been called off. Just managed to get a £14 return train fare from Virgin as well (Saturday Day Out Ticket).
As it's such a late decision to go, I may well be a Billy No Mates and be travelling on my own. If so, I will be in the Slurping Toad by midday looking for Palace fans to join up with.
See you there.

which train are you on Gazza1?
if you're on the 9.55am arriving Birmingham at 11.50am you won't be on yer own!
will probably be a few of us making our way to the slurping toad when we get there...

The downside of making a late train booking and going for the cheap ticket means that I am on the 7-25am dep, arriving New Street at 9-20am.
I've got relatives in the area so I can kill some time until midday by visiting them.

I need to learn my lefts from my rights.
Slurping Toad.
Walk out of New Street Station. Turn right onto Smallbrook Queensway, past some music shops, turn left, not right at lights and pub is on left hand side.
If you get lost ask a local, but don,t venture down the bottom end of Hurst Street as it it is the gay quarter. Top end is china town.
See you there.

thought it was a bit wrong Matt!! - I even managed to find it from new street with Skate when we'd had a few drinks on the way back from Walsall last season.
locals are no help - first time I went there asked about 5 people who'd never heard of it!!!

May not make The Slurping Toad now as the old man has decided to come to the game (he lives near Birimingham) and he may not want to go drinking as he will be driving!
If not, I'll look out for you lot on the train home.
