Bloody hell. Like I'm not going to be at a Christmas booze-up that night. That's a load of old toilet, that is.
And when will Yahoo realise that a switch like that doesn't equate to being brought forward 24 hours ? What are they, stupid ? No, don't answer that...

I also thought that and Police don't like it either.
I wonder if they've got it mixed up and they mean Sunday?

LOL! Only at the Palace! I can just imagine that at Old Trafford:
"Sorry Sir Alex, the Champion's League game vs. Barcelona can't go ahead on the Friday - Tesco won't shut until 9:30PM!"

Perfick !
Start the day with the "George/Porter" Christmas lunch which will finish just in time for us to go to Palace and then onwards for the "George/Porter" Xmas Curry !
Sounds like heaven to me http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/smile.gif

Football on Friday night = free weekend = Excellent.

Despise the idea of Friday night football, I suppose we have been lucky to avoid it up to now. The last Friday before Xmas is a joke, I think this will affect the gate more than
Xmas shopping or people wanting to get away for the weekend. A large number of our support will potentially be on the beer.
Still I am coming round to Matov's thinking
look on it as an opportunity to get pretty
steamed. Feel that come match time there may be a few people refused entry to the ground though. http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/smile.gif

I wrote to Noadesy about this Sainsbury's business ages ago.
The jist of the response was that as part of the original deal was that Palace have to make "loss of trade" payments to Sainsbury's, thus Xmas games were always scheduled around the "least profitable" shopping period for Sainsbury's.
I have no idea if this is still the case with CPFC2000, but remember that Sainsburys were on the list of Creditors of CPFC1986 for a six figure sum.
Might explain the switch ...
