Wolves play Crystal Palace this weekend in a fixture that is sure to be placing immense pressure on the head of Colin Lee. Lee who was shaken by Wolves' non performance at Crewe has 3 days left to motivate the players towards a winning display. If Wolves don't win, the natives will get restless
Yet against we are going to sound like a broken record when we say that this is a must win game for Wolves when we play Crystal Palace at Molineux this Saturday (11th)
Wolves could again be without several keys players including Kevin Muscat (bug), Ludo Pollet (head Wound), Robert Taylor, Sami Al Jaber and the potential loss of Temuri Ketsbia (Knee) . Our form has increased immensely performances against Fulham, Watford and Barnsley but that was totally ruined by the inept display at Gresty Road against Crewe. A result which lead a fan to confront Colin Lee at the final whistle. Wolves also hope to sign a "well known" striker on loan before the match
Wolves Wins
18 Draws
14 Palace Wins
13
Palace's season on the other hand has come alive in the last three matches with some stunning results. a 3-3 draw away at Bolton, an 3-0 away win at Leicester in the Worthington Cup followed by a 4-1 thrashing of Sheffield Wednesday with Clinton Morrison and ex-wolf Dougie Freedman in the goals. Palace also have Latvian Andrejs Rubins who was on trial at Wolves a few weeks ago and nearly signed, will he come back to haunt us along with Freedman and Jamie Smith ?
Palace caused Wolves one of the greatest heartaches I can remember on the 14th of May 1997 when despite winning 2-1 at home we crashed our of the play-offs thanks to a Dougie Freedman inspired 3-1 win to Palace 4 days before. Wolves took the lead before half time through Mark Atkins but David Hopkin equalized with a superb lob from the edge of the box. Adrian "sicknote" Williams put Wolves back ahead with 2 minutes to go but we couldn't get the extra goal. Palace then went on to beat Sheffield United in the Final with another Hopkin special.
