Just been to the box office to get my coach ticket for Boxing Day and there are notices around the office saying that we have now SOLD OUT out allocation of tickets and there are no more available.

My old man tried to get two the other day and they were sold out.
Guess he would have gone to Gillingham after all .............. http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/smile.gif

10'000 s/t and only 800 tickets it was always going to end in tears, had they been sold to the regulars first then people would only have themselves to blame if they had missed out but by doing it the way the club has some people who go away regularly but do not have s/t missed out( i know two people).
For those that missed out i'm sure theres a Bond film on Boxing day anyway.

Better be quick then as I believe that Gills have just put tickets on sale for Boxing Day and their capacity, as mentioned above, is not very high.

The ground only holds just under 12,000 so if you have not got your ticket from Selhurst and try and get one for the home stand as some people have suggested you will be well advised to steer well clear of the Rainham End believe me.

just think if we get Brighton away in the cup we will have this problem all over again, Brighton only give around 300 tickets to the away side surely someone should write to sj and ask for loyalty points or somthing like that.

I understand its unfortunate that some people cant get to gillingham due to the low num of tickets,

but the facts are,

1) the vast majority of people that go to away games are season ticket holders.
2) It has taken over 2 weeks for all the tickets to be sold out.Thefore if anyone has not got a ticket it is your fault as you could either of gone to the club box office some time and bought a ticket or you could of bought it by c/c.
3) Therefore if your without a ticket you did have a chance to buy a ticket therefore unfortunately you shouldnt be complaining about the allocation and the distribution of the tickets.

Im sorry but thats my view and it is impossible to argue with the above facts.

I find that Jose's posts are just trying to cause a little too much friction. The fact that not everybody can afford to go to ALL the away games, or alot of them, is just being arrogantly ignored!

You have had your say Jose, and not very many people agree, so just sit down and shut up!

no not trying to cause friction just trying to point out that if we got Brighton away which would be a dream tie the woodwork would soon start emptying( they won 6-2 yesterday so it looking good).Anyway talking about it between ourselves will not turn the situation round but to put it into the words of sj " we want to be an elite club and these are things elite clubs do".Maybe its time someone told him elite clubs tend to have travel clubs, maybe we finally have a chairman that wants to look after the fans.

Such arrogance. I'm not a season ticket holder, I've missed only two games this season and made repeated efforts at begging and sobbing at the box office to get a Gills ticket with no luck.

I'm not moaning about this anymore, the decision was made and that's that, but it's clear that some people's attitudes are pretty poor on this subject.

Lord Flange and Jose: PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don't ruin another thread because of a personal dispute.

I didn't get a ticket and it's completely my fault. I sat around too long and didn't actually bother to go and buy a ticket while they were on sale to season ticket holders.

In fairness to people who missed out through not holding a season ticket or whatever, the ticket allocation was a disgrace. For an away game that is so local, we should have got a lot more tickets than we did. I also feel that the fairest way of allocating tickets is on a first come, first served basis.

They gave us 10% of their capacity so I do not think that we have any right to moan about the ticket allocation. We'll just have to make sure that the 1,100 of us who do go make enough noise to cover for everybody who didn't get a ticket.
