I know, but other threads have gone a bit OTT. Just hope we don't get too over confident and like others have said, become like West Ham.

I'd hate to see that.

If he stays hopefully he'll outdo his previous deeds against Brighton. That would be good enough for me.

IF he stays, I'll go for 24.

762. No more, no less.

Jesus, anymore up ourselves thinking? I don't understand how or why people think we'll walk straight back up - have we turned into West Ham fans overnight?

We have the potential to do well in the Championship, but it'll be a lot harder than a lot of half-wits on here think.

6, then he'll go in January and score 16 in the Prem.

God I hope not!

he'll bang in 25+ if he stays fit.

surely the question should be how many penalties will we get this season?

If he stays, Championship defenders will be wise to him and I don't think he will get more than 12 from open play. I think he will continue to get a few penalties and finish with about 18 all told.

If he goes to the Premiership, I think his appearances will be limited and he will only get a few.

He has too much pace and intelligence for championship defenders, he is a cut above any defender in that league. If he stays fit, he will score goals. Simple as that.

In my opinion this season will make or break him. He's had two seasons now where, because we've been in different divisions, he's been a bit of an unknown quantity. Interesting to see how he gets on now that he's not.

Are we counting to a million?

Actually 14 before he leaves at Christmas

I'd say around 34.

That's not being cocky, and it's not assuming we'll get promoted. It's just an acknowledgement that AJ will be an even better striker in the Championship after his experience in the top flight.

Depends on:

If he stays fit

Who he is playing with (Up front and in midfield)

How many chances we make for him

If he stays fit and misses no more than a couple of game, plays up front with 1 or 2 other strikers and we have some creativity in midfield, i would say 28-32

AJ could score 50, but if he's the only player we have scoring, that won't get us promotion.

Knowing what he's going to do is one thing, having the pace and agility to keep up with him is another. Given that your average Championship defender is Tony Popovic without the positioning sense, I can't see many of them keeping AJ quiet.

Who knows? I'd like to think he'd get a similar total to last season but he'll be a marked man now.

67. He has magic powers

Anyway, I think it's just about possible with the season starting quite early that he might stick around long enough to score 1 or 2 before leaving in time for the september deadline, but that's it.

seeing as he's not an accomplished finisher yet, i'd say he won't get as many as last time around in the championship, so i'll go for 15 tops

i'm sorry, but as well as he has done for us the last couple of seasons he needs to work on his finishing and some people are getting FAR too carried away with him, and our chances next season. can we all be realistic, he will be targeted to opposition defences from the start

last time around in the championship he was an unknown quantity
last time around in the prem he was an unknown quantity and scored goals both seasons, this season could be very difficult for him, interesting to see how he copes

10 by Christmas after scoring 6 in the opening 3 games.
