Is it going to be worn as our main kit ?? or just as a away/third kit ??

It's meant to be the third kit I believe.

The one "bonus" the club has now that we've been relegated, is that if we want to we can release a new home kit. I should think if the Centenary kit is the third kit we'll have a new away shirt too. :) Brazil anyone?!

Oh it's just like watching Brazil

I'd prefer a sash actually

Brazil sash?!

We have to be changing our awya shirt. There's no way we can have a white away and third shirt. I wonder what it will be though! Probably really crap. I quite liked that Grey design that was one of the choices a few seasons back when we had Le Coq. The one like the old Barcelona kit.

There seems to be a lot of confusion surrounding this.

People are saying that we are keeping the same home and away kits (albeit with a modified sponsor) for next season, but then we've already been told the Centenary kit is the third kit for next season.

As I already stated it wouldn't be logical to have a white away kit, and a white third kit. They'd clash with each other never mind the oppositions kit.

Expect a new away kit to be announced, well I should hope so anyway, unless the club has come up with another amazingly dumb idea!

Please dear God, not the Brazil kit. If ever there was a kit that suggested severe delusions of grandeur, that's it. We mght have got away with it with a team full of internationals playing in the Premiership all those years ago but for rainy Tuesday nights at Crewe it's just an embarassment.

Anyway, what Brazil wear is yellow shirts, navy shorts and white socks with green trim. What we always end up with has light blue shorts, yellow socks and not a trace of green which in fact makes less "Brazil" and more "Newcastle away c.1974" which doesn't exactly fill me with enthusiasm.

Bring back the sash please. And this time, lets try not to get thrashed the first time we wear it and then refuse to use it again until March.

I really liked the Brazil kit. Probally one of my fav. Palace shirts to date.

Just out of interest.

Baggies this season had three shirts.

Their white and dark blue striped shirts.

The red away shirt

A plain white (with a little dark blue trim) third shirt.

These were sold as limited addition http://www.wba.premiumtv.co.uk/javaImages/59/64/0,,10366~418905,00.jpg

The old brazil kits from 92/93, and 94/95 did have green on them. The light blue shorts are based on the old Brazil kits from the 1970's, and 80's. Brazil only started wearing royal blue shorts instead of sky blue at the 1994 world cup.

The spiel for the Centary kit was that it would be used throughout the Centenary season. I would assume it will definately be used for the Inter game and then possibly in cup games? (Charlton wore theirs in Cup games albeit it was a modification to their normal home shirt)

btw if we're going to have a new away kit why not sky blue and claret shorts? Or amber and white (a la 63-64?)

That's actually a very deceiving picture. Far darker than it's meant to be! :)

Yet again the pictures quite dark. I'm beginning to question the quality of the pictures. Seriously though! Back in the day Brazil used to wear sky blue shorts! :)

Not in 1970 they didn't, Jim. They were much darker than our version.

I liked the red kit with the white and blue sash, and we had a very rarely worn blue shirt with a white and red sash I believe. If we had those kits it'd be amazing.

But I still maintain our best idea was in 1990/91 when we had an all red away kit, and an all blue away kit. We should do that!

Elliott are you able to do a mock up of our current home kit but one is all red, and the other all blue, to see what it looks like. (The blue one would need a red collar).

Can't disagree with that.

By the way is the centenary kit the tight fit Diadora style?! It's hard to tell from the pictures. I hope it is though. The shirts with the eleven man heat spots are usually tight fit though.

Can't believe people have let this lie. Now I don't know you, but is this possibly the campest line ever to be written on the BBS? :D

Couldn't agree more. Its not as if we've had any Brazilian players either. I would much rather have a shirt that represents OUR club (like the new centenary kit) rather than the international equivilant of Man Utd.

I must say for all those that complained about the centenary kit (and I for one wanted the '59-61 hoops') - take a look at Charlton and Chelsea's efforts and I believe ours at least is unique and represents our history. (Charlton's has been replicated in balck and white for Derby for 2005-06!)

Have to agree Andy, those three kits are hideous. Absolutely no tradition to them whatsoever.

I like the centenary kit. I can see it being used a few times due to the dark colours of our main kits.
