We've all bought fantastic players from other clubs (hopefully), but has anyone had any success with the Palace players given at the beginning of the game? I'm not talking about OK ones, but players that really stand out as quality.
I've heard that Lee Kendall can be good, but he's only average in my game. My top are Richard Harris as a forward playing behind two strikers, and Tommy Black, who is superb this season (my third) getting 8s and 9s most games. We've just won the premiership and both players have been first team regulars.
Pollock was good in Div 1 but has not seen much of first team football in the premiership.

I couldnt really say, because i have completely changed the whole database, not only palace, to make it more lifelike. So i couldnt really say cos it would be different for others.
Clinton has always been pretty good, but it is mainly buys, and frees or youths that i bring up!

On 00/01 Woozley is pretty good - always averages 7+ for the season. I found that Gray was amazing as a sub in season 2. He scored about 16 goals most of those coming after I bought him off the bench. He rarely let me down when a late goal was needed.
Currently on season 2 again (previous game lost due to computer hassle :grrr: ) and Black who was average on the previous game is averaging 7+ and could well be keeping out an old favourite of mine Martin Rowlands (from Brentford) when the latter returns from injury.
On 99/00 as well as Woozley again Thomson and especially Frampton are superb but not so good on 00/01.
i bought clinton on it once for a laf :D and he ended up gettin 22 goals in 18 games for me as rushden and diamonds in div 1. Akl's wicked on the new gam,e if u have the patch. amongst others like haydon.
Just try em out.:p

Aki is quality,
Harris in a few years is very good,
Lee Kendall is one of the top 5 keepers in the game!
Black, Gray, Mullins and Morrison have the potential to be quality as well. They need to be trained by a good youth coach.
