Not normally keen on the Portmanor as we always lose whenever I drink there. However, I shall materialise after 6pm.

I shall be with my brother, a neutral and probably a couple of Trannie fans. Will probably stick to The Cherries but may put in an appearance in The Portmanor.

just not good enough MAW - if we alwayslose when you drink there we will know who to blame if you do decide to go in there & we lose - so maybe you'd better keep away or be prepared to be a scapegoat!!!! http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/smile.gif http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/smile.gif
Im sure all this drinking isnt doing my body any good, never mind Portmanor it is

Thanks to the appalling weather on Saturday I will again be trying to flog Palace Echo to a generally uncaring public.
"£1.50 for nice copy or £1 for a rain-damaged one!"
I havent got a match ticket yet either.....

No, but I'm gonna head off to the ground early enough to get a half decent seat in Block C.

I'll be at Norwood at about 4:00pm.
a) Where is the Portmanor?
b) What time does it open?
c) Will it be raining again?

a) Come out of the station (Norwood Junction), turn right immediately and walk along a footpath, past a mechanics garage and some highrise flats. Pub is at the end of the footpath, down some steps.
b) 11.00am would be my guess.
c) Probably.

Can a helpful person tell me the location of all of these pubs in relation to the ground? I've never been to any of them, as I usually turn up about half an hour before kick off and just watch the game.

I thought the Portmanor was given the elbow this season as a pre match venue due to the fact YOU HAVE TO WAIT 15 MINUTES TO GET SERVED! And it gets rammed full.
And there are no decent walls to chalk on.
And it's run by a Charlton supporter.

Well tonight it did - about 15 soddin minutes. Just as I'm up next Rory yells out from the other end of the bar, "two bags of dry roasted" and the bloody barmaid trundles off into the cellar to get 'em.
MAW had a similar amount of trouble 10 minutes later.
I wasn't even supposed to be there and this made me later still. It's Cherry's for me everytime from now on, I'm afraid.
And its far too dark... http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/frown.gif
