Important Info re Grimsby Train Travel

The train due to depart at 9.10 from Kings Cross on Saturday morning will now leave at 8.30 Should take around 3 hours to get to Doncaster.

Should that be 8:30am on Friday morning, and 30 hours to get to Doncaster, lightweight?

Just checked GNER's site, there revised time-table says the 8.30 should get you there for 11.46, but the 8.00 which leaves 30 minutes earlier arrives at 11.04 which would enable you to catch the 11.42 to Cleethorpes if you miss the 11.42 then the next train to cleethorpes does'nt get you there untill 13.55 which only leaves 1 hours drinking time.

the revised timetables show the following :

8.00 gets to doncaster at 11..04
8.30 gets to doncaster at 11.45

11.42 from doncaster gets to cleethorpes at 12.55
12.42 arrives at 13.53
and there is a 13.42 arriving 14.56

Return journey

17.23 from cleethorpes arrives doncaster at 18.33

leaving us time to catch the 19.16 arriving back in london at 22.59

trouble with getting the earlier train - is I understand the ticket from doncaster to cleethorpes is a group ticket - so we will have to travel together. Gildo wasn't in when I phoned!!
