Interesting snippet from BBC News 24. The Selhurst ark pitch has been passed fit for tonight's Wombles v Grim Town match.

Surely a conspiracy. We had to postpone our minor clash with Sunderland to make sure the squatters weren't inconvenienced for tonight.

I must confess I'm curious about the size of their crowd this evening. I'll be very disappointed if it goes above, ooh, a thousand?

Am I right in assuming Wimbledon have given Grimsby the whole of the Arthur Wait? It should work out at about 120 seats per visiting supporter.

Lets play guess the crowd. - 2877 (Squatters to issue freebies to 2876 of them. The other has escaped from the local loony home.)

This is disgusting and someone is taking the p!ss out of us.

Is it...

A. The Football League
B. The Football Association
C. Sky
D. Simon Jordan
E. Ron Noades.

Im fecked off. I had to have the day off work due to mitigating circumstances. If I'd gone to work I'd have missed the game. But I took a holiday game so I could get there.

And these those fecking arsewiping little sh!t feckin womble squatting counts are allowed to play.

I hope you team bus crashses next time its on the motorway. Terry Burton is a child molester.

Maybe because it is an evening game (people coming by train from work) but there ain't a whole load of cars parked in Holmesdale Rd.

Somehow I think that someone, somewhere is taking the rise. Noades evict the Muppets NOW!!!

The slags play there again Saturday so what odds the rematch AND the Blackburn game being postponed?

Admittedly I was surprised at their 8000 average so far but it seems that now their fickle fans realise that they won't be promoted so aren't going anymore. They are dropping to the level that we expected and really should bugger off back to Plough Lane as it suits them.

Think of their funds really drying up - they have 2500 ST holders so only took about 30,000 on the gate - hardly enough to pay the rent let alone the "stars" that they have in the team.

Thank you Wimpledon and Goodbye.

Its all become clear now. They postponed our game so that this hum-dinger of a league match would still be able to take place, just to ensure the thousands of fans travelling from all over the country wouldn't be let down.

One amusing factor about the attendance. They could have opened only the lower tier of the Holmesdale and would still not have sold out. What a sorry excuse for a football club.

Wimbledon you are the weakest link. (and Uncle Bulgaria's an areshole)

Wimbledon will be asset stripped to cover their mounting losses (Hartson basically if he can pass a fitness test).

They have no future which I think is a shame.

It's disappointing that the match went ahead but at the same time there wasn't a drop of rain yesterday so I'm not surprised the pitch had recovered a bit.

"half an hour before kick off only 57 hardy souls had ventured to their seats"

in the Daily Mail this morning!!! - not at all sarcastic!!!

Yes, it seems that Wimbledon are heading the wrong way along a slippery slope. Their only real chance of salvation would seem to lie in promotion this season.

Shame, isn't it?

The radio 5 commentator said last night there was less than a thousand in the ground!!! Even the Wimpledon supporters think there was far less than 4 thousand last night, the reason the gate was counted as over 4 thousand is they include season ticket holders even if they were not there

Got to say that when I drove past the ground at 7.00pm the only sign of a match being played that night was two very bored looking Traffic Wardens manning the barrier at the junction of Park Road and Whitehorse Road.

So the 4500 +/- figure quoted could be very wrong indeed.

I noted the "57 in seats with half an hour to go" too. It's so sad. So why am I smiling so broadly ?

Even funnier if they had to count season ticket holders who didn't turn up.

Having an ark at Selhurst could be quite handy if we get any more rain. http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/wink.gif

But which 2 eagles would get the nod from Noah (or should that be Ndah?)

It will come in handy if Simon Jordan decides to float the company.
