How To Get There By Car & Where To Park
Leave the M2 at Junction 4 and take the A278 towards Gillingham, going straight across two roundabouts. At the 3rd roundabout turn left onto the A2 towards Gillingham town centre. At the junction with the A231, turn right (into Nelson Road) and after the bus station take a right turn into Gillingham Road, the ground is on your right. Street Parking. It is suggested arriving at least one hour before kick-off as car parking is extremely limited (although one website states there is a Car park for 1,100 cars) and, be warned, there can be some delay after games as the traffic takes time to disperse. You may find spaces off Woodlands Road, or on Chicago Avenue, Livingstone Road & Sturdee Avenue. The public car park on Railway Street behind the station is only a 5-10 minute walk from the ground. To avoid some of the post-match gridlock, home fans advise visitors to park facing the way home, as turning round can take hours!
It is about 45 minutes drive from the centre of London and London Gatwick Airport. Birmingham is less than 2.5 hours away
By Official Coach
If you arrive by official coach the Police will escort the coach to a bus park which is again a ten minute walk from the ground. To get to the ground, walk out of the parking area to the main road, turn left and follow this road until you come to Gillingham Road, turn right into Gillingham Road and follow this until you come to the crossroads - Priestfield Road is on the left
Pubs & food
The ground is walkable from the town centre, where there are a fair few pubs to be found.
However RB says most pubs in Gillingham are the pits, however the Cricketers in Sturdee Avenue is popular with home supporters & close to the ground - a couple of streets behind the Gordon Road stand.
The Roseneath in Arden Street is an excellent real ale pub & usually does huge doorstop sandwiches at lunchtime for £1.
Anybody who wants to carry on after the game it is suggested they drive 10 minutes to Rochester High Street where there are a number of restaurants and pubs ( RB recommends the taste of two cities Indian )
Also a night club nearby although what will be open on Boxing day is anyone's guess.
