I just found this on the bloody official Sports interactive/Championship Manager 2001/2002 Season - Website.

The caption read, "Fog of War, (Koumas has made a very dodgy carreer move)
Who the HELL do I complain to? I'm going to speak to my local MP about this abomination :grrr:

You know what it is? the fog of war?
It's when you have to scout a player to learn his attributes, because how can you fully know what a player is like when you haven't seen him play.

Especially if his preferred foot is his right... i bet he just stands there on one leg all day, and without any balance he is doomed.

Will this fog cover teams as well as people - like when you play some team from Estonia and don't know what they are really like?

Dunno, i am not allowed to say even if i did know.
I would imagine that all the players in the team would be masked. Because it is the players that are the team really.

Don't see why the game has to be so secret, it's like they're planing the next line in nuclear warfare or summit

Brilliant - but the next step would be for your coaches to give an opinion as to who is the best - you could also get scout reports comparing players - this would help with all the hidden attributes
