does anyone use Holdem manager? how do you get it so your on table stats dont reset every time you play another game

The only stats that should reset are your stats - all the other players should be displaying all stats and you can doubleclick on the * to switch between session/full stats for each player. AFAIK it's not possible to get the Hero's full stats displayed

crashed out in 52nd place when the blinds were at 300/600 and i had 9000 left, i pused all in on the button with AQ, got a call from AJ and lost. Would have been on chip average after this pot if i had won but c'est la vie. Plus to add insult to injury the winner David Lloyd is from Brighton :(

Just came 54th from 1130 runners at PKR. Called an all in pre flop with A10 suited, he had 74 off. Not happy.

I haven't seen how far he got yet but he was on the final table when I went to sleep about 2 :sob:

On the plus side at least I got further than the 5 pros in it. Best placed I think was Tran in about 400th odd.

Strange how results seem to come in clusters....came 4th in the £16.5k last night for $2000. Bit hacked off though cos was massive chip leader with 5 left and donked off loads of chips with KK when needless to say A flopped and I got a bit stuck on the hand after cbetting and being virtually forced to call with 5/1 odds when he shoved. Then I shoved KJ over KT and he rivered T. That card probably cost me $2k Grrrr!!!

Bad riverings tonight, up to 12K in the rebuy quite early, get QQ in late position, blinds 40/80, 2 raise to 240, I push all in for 12K, have the other two covered they have 3.5K in chips, both call. First one turns over 10 10 which is fair enough, second one has JA, how he thinks he is good against two all ins in front of him I don't know but he rivers the ace. Then lose against short stack when my AK < AQ, still in contention with 8K.

And got to 6K in 6 handed to crash out in about 5 mins, was happy to call this one, as this guy had been raising with junk and pushing all in with nothing, like he did here, but what can you do.

23K in the rebuy at the moment. Got Ks As in early position, blinds are 375/750, raise to 3K, get raised all in from big stack, everyone else folds. Call to put yourself in a leading position to take the tourney down, or fold to find a better spot, guy is quite aggressive, range is quite large, almost certain to be a PP.

I'm loving being ahead and losing, running into the nuts seemingly all the time and never hitting when i have more outs than cards in the deck. :(

Sigh, so tired of this shit. Variance, variance, variance. Any chance it can go positive one time (much longer rant that i decided to delete )

if you think that then dont call pre flop! if thats the case, your only calling to hit a nine and your call pre isnt getting the odds.

Hence the pre flop shove e.g everyone prob folds, or if the donk calls your def ahead.

sorry to dig up old graves. have just been looking through the thread. In my opinion you played the hand perfectly until the river? why the raise? your only getting re raised by better hands and your priced in to call. I know there are some donks on these stakes but theres no value in re raising that river, cant see even even the really bad donks calling with worse than JJ

But the idea is to get all his chips and for me to win the tournament, an all-in, assuming he folds, gets me 200 chips, if the flop comes down laden with overcards I can easily fold without much damage to my stack, if it comes favourable like that one, I can get my money in ahead and get him to fold, or call when I am a favourite, guess I am over 70% there, he's drawing to 6 cards, that puts me on 14K, enough to look towards a FT place, unfortunately he hits, but don't think it's that much of a wrong move.

346th in the 10K, just making the minimum double up, got up to 10K early but could never improve, shoved with 66 UTG but A9 hit his A of course, the amount of times the 3 outer Aces hit is boring me with it's motonomy (and the times I miss when it's the other way round of course).

Moved $2.5k back to Full Tilt from Party and been playing a lot of headsup 50NL cash this past 2 weeks - it's amazing how bad some of the players are. It's great fun adapting to different player types, and you get the fish all to yourself - plus with lower relative hand values there are more spots where they're likely to make mistakes.

Scarily the rake is close to $40 per 1000 hands, but I'm still making over 8PTBB/100 hands although admittedly over only a 10k hand sample so far.

I love the Zeebo theorem.

Nobody is capable of folding a full house on any street for any sized bet, ever. Don't fool yourself into thinking they can. I'm not even referring to NUT full houses (eg. board reads 29522, if your opponent has the loan 5, they will almost always call allin; if they folded, it was likely do to timing out or a misclick). Remember: full houses aren't too common, and after all, you might be bluffing!

If you expect someone has a full house, and you can't beat a full house never ever bluff. If you expect someone has a full house and you can beat their likely full house, go allin. Let's say the board is 29522, and you have TT or better, go allin no matter what the size of the pot is, b/c they can't fold.

lol, just listening to the ept commentary and someone just said that one of the players should have folded Aces preflop after a raising battle which led to all the chips going in pre vs KK. Obv a K spiked and he lost.

The guy said that AA gets cracked so often that sometimes you just have to fold them. Wah

Only hand I would play against you there would be 66, and possibly shoving on the turn, but would have to lay it down on the river. Don't understand the check, if he is check calling your $42, why doesn't he fire $14 at the pot in the first place on the river to envisage strength?

I play pretty darn tight in the SB, it's the weakest position on the table. I definitely still steal when it's folded round to me vs a tight BB, and complete limped pots with hands that play well multiway, but otherwise my raising requirements are generally the same as my UTG raising requirements. Being OOP postflop makes it nigh on impossible to play a wide range profitably.

I think to list on google you have to pay and register with a company that lists you there though I am not too sure about this....if I type in 'Poolio Poker' into google my blog is the first listing so I am not sure how it works, I think when you make more posts and get more views then it will creep up google rankings, I have a counter on my blog so I see how many people have been looking at the blog....I haven't checked daily for a while but I think I get about 20-30 views per day on average

Paul had problems with the 50% purple deal but I think that was where he didn't correctly sign up through the link I provided, if you signed up with the link I gave then it should be ok. I have been playing the same network but have been using Stan James instead but only get 30% rakeback...however the leaderboard is a lot easier to place high on, last month I got 2nd with about 25000 raked hands for a payout of $3200. The same number of raked hands on purple would I think only have got me $500, unfortunately Stan James have a poorer leaderboard this month but I still prefer it there as even if I dont play a lot I get a small bonus. Plus, an interesting point about Purple's 50% rakeback is they used a fixed exchange rate of £1=$2, this means that my 30% on stan james isn't too far off the 50% I'd get on Purple given the current exchange rate.

Been reading up and think im going to take a punt evern though i have vritually nil poker experience.

Have played a bit of Texas hold em with mates but its very poor standard so just looking around for info which this thread has been great for.

Quick question though, which are the kinds of starting hands i should really be looking out for (rather than just staying in for the flop regardless like mates do)?

Seems to be that high pair or same suit pair are good starters as are hands like AK, AQ (again especially if they are same suit) although it can depend on position. I may be wrong though so any tips greatfully appreciated.

While you get a feel for the game I'd stick to just playing premium hands and maybe get cheap looks with smaller pairs to do some set mining and possibly mid to high suited connectors.

Raise with any of these cards:
AA
KK
QQ
AKs
JJ
TT
AKo
AQs
99
AQo

While you are starting out never limp into a pot pre-flop, raise or fold.

Yes. Tournaments start from $1 upwards, no shame playing in the $2 and upwards ones, have played a few, you will get up to 3000 runners and they do last for 8 to 12 hours, but prize money makes up for it if you FT, unless you bubble after 6 hours play and get about $2.20

:p

my advice mate is just start off on really really low stakes and get a feel for the game, infact i wouldnt even do too much reading into strategys etc too much to start with, basically just learn the game as much as possible early on without losing too much money.
just what ever you do dont jump up stakes before your ready.

Il defo be taking it easy. The advice is much appreciated all round so thanks lads.

Had my first real go today on PKR.com which was a real learning experience. First off the pace seems really high, nothing like the few mates nights i've played at. Found it difficult to keep up with what was going on if im honest although hopefully that will come in time as i get more used to the game and interface.

I also seem to be playing far more defensively (conservatively) then everyone else, folding quite often, even folding pre flop if it will cost me to call whereas everyone else at the table was always staying in for the flop. Is this usual at al levels or just low stakes where people were more prepared to take the risk vs loss? Is it bad play on my part?

On the plus side i basically broke even as although i stayed out of most hands i did win 1 decent hand (high 2 pair) and bluffed my way to a big pot at the end which i think was mostly luck on my part and bad play on theres (still at least the conservative theme must have helped).

Is it worth trying the free tables before heading back or are they unrealistic? I can imagine the style is even more loose?

i think free tables is too loose personally even to learn the game, what stakes are you playing at the moment? i reccomend you start off by playing some $1 sit and go's

17-12-2008, 06:35 PM
No reason to play free tables when you can play 0.02/0.05, you won't learn anything at free tables, you will still have to make decisions at the lower levels, should be aiming to play 17-20% of your starting hands. Tried PKR, virtually impossible to play, looks like a bad computer game, PS or Full Tilt are better options, Full Tilt has cartoony graphics if you are in to that sort of thing.

He's not expecting a call. If he's raising any two cards it's a fine play (any two cards will do). Loose call from the gambooler.

Standard in donkaments, I suppose. :clown:

Just because you are playing at a higher level, doesn't mean the players are any better, he has 26K, has shown strength pre-flop and in position, it's probably an insta call with most cards against your range there, no need to gamble there.

Blinds and antes = 1050
Initial raise = 1200
We've got 7100, (nice enough pot if he does in fact fold)
He's got 26000 and is apparently raising every hand when first to act (find out later he is a maniac willing to gamble).

If this guy is raising any two, as stated, I can see him dumping often enough. With this guy sitting directly to our right (acting the bully when first to act every time) and our apparent persona as a very tight player I can see this play working often enough. Not a play I'd be doing but I can see the reasoning (sounds like it may have been a frustration shove but 60/40 vs ace rag isn't terrible :o ).

iamanuplander

defending the play is not baffling, its ok, but i shouldn't have played it against a maniac. I thought there might be some nouse about him to fold A8 or below but what can you do. The arguments against outweight those for and oz agrees but sees what i was trying to do and thought it wasn't a completely idiotic idea :)

Guys i am heading off now for some alcohol and some good times but before i go plz plz plz plz visit my blog at:

ant040689.blogspot.com

and read up on my additions. I have some great stuff on there to do with tourney poker and with the cash games. My last post i feel is the most in depth of a strategy i would emplot during tournaments and i am a bit of a fool to be putting a successful one up but hey ho i like writing lol.

Most of all guys though make regular comments on it please, would love to hear feedback and i feel its the least i deserve for months of loyalty to this thread :( lol

I am finding it harder and harder to win at poker at the moment, have gone out of two tournaments tonight, rather than BB them, need to ask the question that is it the fact that poker is now more publicly acceptable then it was, and the availability of poker on television, where they show 1 hand out of 200 that is a bluff, now everybody thinks they can do the same and call with ATC no matter how much is put in the pot, position on the table, player image etc.

In the first tournament I go out very first hand, I have QQ, blinds 10/20, one raiser to 4 x BB, I am in late position, I go all in. I like the all in move because if he has AA KK I am beaten anyway and no flop helps me that much, am ahead of every other combination and want to accumulate chips as early on in the tournament as possible, Annette Obrestad will often risk her tournament life early on with marginal hands as she says this is one of the most important things to do. Obviously get an insta call. He has QK offsuit. K river. What actual play from anyone suggests that is a play to make under any circumstances. What hand range is that ahead of?

saul1664
25-12-2008, 12:03 AM
So start a second tournament, blinds 10/20, two players enter the pot, so there is 40 in the pot, it's about the third hand in, pot is 40, player who has lost 200 chips already, pushes all in on me, I call with 55, a weak hand but since the calling range of anyone now is so wide, I believe I am in front, he turns over 10 J offsuit and I double up.

Three hands turned the tourney though, get KK, get two limpers, I go all in and triple up when I get two callers one with A 10, the other one with J 7 and get up to 7K in chips.

Then again find more limpers, these hands when blinds are 100/200, push all in with 99, get a call with JK offsuit, he had about 3K in chips and hit his J, now have 4K left.

Again I hit 99 about 6 hands later, again 2 limpers who have just flat called, again push all in, next player insta calls (he has about 4K same stack as mine), small stack with 1.2K calls too.

Small stack has A5 suited which isn't a bad call, but maybe he should have waited for a better spot, as he's very unlikely to be in front of two significant plays before him, but either way I don't mind the shove there. The insta caller who has put his whole tournament at risk, turns over 27 offsuit. A 2 and a 7 on the flop win him a 10K pot and I'm out.

What is the way to play now, treat 55+ as monsters and get all in pre-flop, you'll lost some races but accumulate chips quickly, or try and flop monsters, the problem being you will often be up against 4 or 5 opponents, none of who will fold after the flop, making positional or continuation bets almost worthless?

25-12-2008, 12:06 AM
and to cap it all have just gone out of 3rd tournament, blinds 100/200, have 3K get QQ early pos. just SB and BB in pot, go all in pre flop, small blind has 36 suited, BB has about 4K has A4 with 4 a spade, both call the all in. 4 spades come and I end up last of 3 and out. What can you do?

Just reminding you guys to hit me up on www.ant040689.blogspot.com for in depth analysis behing a pretty successful online player. When i mean in depth it really is. I want to be a journalist in the not too distant future so the quality of writing will be quite good as well. I may put a lot more stuff on my blog than on here so make sure you visit it regularly and please for God's sake leave comments :D

Nice blog Ant. Please write this on your hand before each session

"This won't happen again as i will be more careful and less stupid."

This also made me laugh

"I am not going to disclose all the hands i played as i don't want to show you really shit hot techniques about how to win these so i will give you the straightforward hand histories lol."

Anyway keep going and updating. Tis fun. Good luck I hope you reach your goal :p

Thank you chester.

Im happy that someone appreciates the blog, it makes me feel better about writing it. To be honest don't worry about what i said in that im not going to disclose the techniques of how to win because i will be seeping loads of info into em, and a part of my game is adapting to my opponents and having a decent knack for how they feel about the pot and reacting accordingly. So even if someone wants to duplicate my style, i would obviously be best in the know of how to expose it :)

Cheers for the words of support also, and im making sure im gonna report back this time next year with a quality bankroll and an enviable life that a student of 20 shouldn't have :P

As 2008 draws to a close, what was everybody poker highlights and lows?

Is it rude to ask how much people made/loss? Having reviewed all my deposits and withdrawals I can announce that I made a whopping... £36.77. Lol, at least I’m one of a few players who probably made profit at my level of play.

That was with horrendous bankroll management and haven put that right recently, I’m confident that in 2009, I can earn significantly more.

My highlights include my one and only royal flush (holding KQ of diamonds) and my $196 winning hand, full house fours full of fives.

As for lows, as mentioned my bankroll was poor and I mucked my royal flush ;)

One of my problems in 2007 was organisation. I couldn't accurately tell you how much i won but i know i made at least a £7000 profit which is a pittance and i also won a trip to miami through William hill making $1100 on the cruise, but for me it was a transition year.

I know how to make a considerable profit in cash and mtts now and im ecstatic about this :) .In my Blog i am predicting a £50,000 profit for next year aiming for double that, even though £50K would be more than enough. And i am aiming to add more structure to my game, eliminate tilt, avoid playing while less that enthused and know when to leave a table you know you won't win on. It's as simple as that. I'm looking forward to the new year and hopefully it will be the year that sets me up for an easy life because with say £150,000 made in the next three years i cud really start making some headway in other investments and perhaps not have to work a proper day in my life.

So there you go lol

Just bubbled for a $6500 package to Irish Open - 4th with 3 seats.

Aaaargghhhh!!

Chip stacks were

blinds 1000/2000 no antes

villain 110000
button 30000
small blind 90000
hero big blind ( holding 99) 41000

villain raises to 4900
I shove 41000

he turns over AA

I am going to shoot myself now - goodbye all

Edit - It was a $200+15 sat that I was in for $33 - I got the princely some of $215 back instead of the $6500 grrrrrr!!!

Its been a crap year - well at least since June. Since Jan 1 I have won something in the region of £135,000 .... but unfortunately have managed to lose approximately £147,000 at the same time

I was about 8k up at the halfway stage so, as I say, since June its been pretty rough going (which explains why I've been quiet lol!!) The Irish Open bubble just about sums up whats been happening. I keep meaning to get that "all-in" software to confirm to myself that I have just been getting no luck when money in good.....I certainly don't feel as if I have been doing much wrong.

Anyway, Happy New Year everyone! Hopefully....

that seems sick paul. I am going to attempt a year ahead of tournaments but hopefully will be able to fund it with a solid cash game to save myself from the swings. I want rakeback and bonuses to soften the blow also to propell myself into the big bucks.

Would love some advice on any other rooms besides from Full tilt, Pokerstars and william Hill that i should check out for easy cash games and soft tournies (mtt sngs as well)?

very honest of you. the amount of crap people talk about how much they earn playing poker is unbelievable.

do you only play mtts? very difficult to make a steady income from just those, so much variance!

I cashed out and didn't play for most of this year, started rebuilding my roll at 25NL in September and with bonuses/rakeback etc now have a 25BI 50NL 6-max roll on Party and a 50 BI 50NL headsup roll on Full Tilt so very pleased.

My personal poker highlight has been improving my discipline and actually starting to have a lower variance game - there was a time I thought it would never happen. Finally just shrugging off bad beats and not letting them affect my play as they used to. Also starting to play headsup as my main game has been really good fun. I've not been running fantastically but I'm consistently getting my money in good and that's all I care about now.

My goals for 2009 are to continue to improve my HU play and move up to 100NL 6-max on Party.

Finally just shrugging off bad beats and not letting them affect my play as they used to.

If anybody ever learns anything from this thread, let it be this. I think that this is the most valuable information that any poker player should be aware of.

As soon as you accept that a bad beat is as much a part of poker as a big blind is, you'll improve your game immediately.

I recently took this onboard.

I'd like to make more out of cash games, but winning at poker (at least on PS seems impossible). One move I find now is that if you raise between 3-5 BB (and people are calling these raises with ATC), they will reraise you by another 2 BB then everyone else calls in the hand meaning that you cannot isolate the pot. Also when raising with the best hand again you tend to get insta called with ATC, based on this first blokes play, I know he has overcards, so reraise him all in on the turn when my A8 hits top pair top kicker, he calls the reraise with AK and one card to come river K.

Then lose on another table with AK, flop comes KJ8 all clubs, I reraise him all in, my stack is $50, he insta calls with JA, and rivers the backdoor flush. Finding it impossible to make a profit on cash at the moment.

You got super unlucky with the AQ hand and then not to jump a few places as well. Hopefully a turn in the right way for the new year and some of the races will start to hold :)

Easy Kev, how's it going chap? I'm all good, everytime I say I'm goign to put in some hands something else gets in the way. I'm too busy at the moment, playing football, excercise, socialising and having a wife to contemplate playing but have dabbled in a bit of PLO over the last 4 months to good success at up to 1/2! Hopefully I'll get to play a bit in 09!

Funny thing is I was so tilted after the AQ got busted on the river that I didnt even notice the hand afterwards when I effectively lost $400 without even being in the hand until you posted it on here!! Incredibly bad play by the guy to shove into a raiser with K8o when I'm sitting on a micro stack and about to blind away - and as usual the bad play gets the reward

With my other half going back to Aus in a few weeks for at least 3 months I will have a lot of time on my hands, some of which I intend to use playing cards online :lux:

Might try my hand at low stake multitabling so may be asking about good rakeback deals :p

Anyone looking forward to the Durr/Ivey challenge?

Am I right in hearing Benyamine and Antonius have also taken up the challenge?

Durrrr is going to lose a lot of money...

So Durrrr puts up $1.5M to the challengers $0.5M, they play heads-up for 50,000 hands and whoever finishes up ahead scoops "the pot" (the entire lot).

The kis is crazy.

The thread is rather long now. Durr is offering 3-1 over 50,000 hands at 200-400 or above that he will be up at the end. If he is down even a dollar at the end he will pay 1.5m to the winner plus obv they keep any profits won if he wins its $500k plus winnings.

Ivey, Benyamine and Antonius accepted so far. Think Benyamine is up first. Ivey said the other day that there is a serious chance that one of them will go broke.

Should make interesting viewing

Jesus Christ. How do people like Hachem make any money.

Was watching the online broadcast of the highrollers event at the PCA.

It gets heads up with Elky 2.1m vs random 330k. Blinds 12/24 plus ante

"So Joe would you be limping and seeing cheap flops?"

"No, id be pushing with almost anything rather than wasting money limping as Elky will punish you."

Ok good so far.

"But if i got say AK, QQ or JJ id limp in and aim to get it in"

Are you going to play in the Walsall national? Will be quickly sold out but should be a good event. I am looking forward to it!

I may try for Walsall - its tricky because the relatively low buyin means you need a high finish just to cover expenses. I'm pretty skint at the moment (Imay even have to attempt to get a proper job soon lol!) so I can't really afford to regard it as entertainment - I need to make tournaments pay!

I may go down to Brighton for the GUKPT next week and try and satty in as its near me and cheaper than getting in online - side events at £100 too.

Will be good if you can make it for Walsall. I go for the experience rather than just the poker but your right. Its difficult for it to be profitable unless you finish in the top few.

Have just got into the $250 blue square satellite on Sunday for the GUKPT Brighton leg. The live satellites are quite small stacks so think I am going to give them a miss (unless I win the package and then will play in most of them!)

oh well 27th, got caught red handed trying to bluff and had to fold with only half my stack remaining, then while at 6 BB's i push all in in late pos with 93 get called by A9 hit a 3 on the turn but justice was served upon me when an ace popped off on the river. Annoyingly only $130 for 5 hours work when 1st payed $8500+ but i am learning the trade still.

Once upon a time i was too tight, unwilling to gamble when i should have done and was content with being blinded off into oblivion. At the moment i am on the opposite end of the scale, being too aggressive and seeing my raises pre flop getting re raised and my stack depleting becos of it. I need to find the middle ground and fast because i think i am an intelligent player but need to pick my aggressive spots more scarcely and be content with the sitting around if needs be. Good luck to all you guys at the start of this week and may i say how i am getting accustomed to the joys of the cash game, no 5 hour stretches for eventual dissappointment!

saul1664
12-01-2009, 01:32 PM
I find that if you raise, especially in position, you are more likely to get reraised by a large range of hands as people think you are at it, so its better to raise with a semi bluff (i.e. hands that have potential) such as suited connectors and pay attention to stack sizes, if you have bigger stacks behind you, you are going to have to fold, smaller stacks you are going to be forced all in due to being pot committed, attacking the medium stacks is a better move as they will fold more often.

If you are interested in a 50% rakeback deal on the microgaming network where you can claim your rakeback and have it credited to your account at any time (none of this waiting for 2 weeks or a certain time every month) then feel free to contact me. :p

Had my first live cash last night (second attempt).

I won the £50 freezeout at the Rendezvous casino in Brighton. 63 runners. Did a deal with three left (we'd only lost one player in the final two hours of play and it was 4am!), but it was still a nice healthy sum.

Is there anybody awake over there that plays Poker Stars? Ther are having their 25 billionth hand promotion. On every million hands leading up to the 25 billionth, they're giving away money. They are at 24.991 billion right now. I was hoping to get the BBSers all on one table to fold every hand to increase the chances of winning. It will probably take a couple of hours to get to that 25 billionth hand, but the winner gets 100k in cash plus 50k of tourney entries this year. The rest of the people in the hand share like 150k.

They'll suspend you from playing if you do that. Believe it or not, they banned someone from Badugi because they were playing so badly and losing money :O

Bit of advice needed, I've been on Poker Stars for a while now. I am doing ok at present and wanted to cash some money out. Every time I have done so in the past I have been given the option to cash out to my debit card. On this occassion though that is not an option, they now want me to cash out to NETeller at my e-mail address! How does that work? Alternatively I can check in British Pound or direct Bank transfer. Your advice will be most welcome, cheers, Mike.

I believe that you can't withdraw more than you have deposited via debit card so if you are actually in profit you can't withdraw it! Neteller is like a third party paypal scheme, you withdraw money to neteller than use neteller to transfer money to you. Not too sure how it works.

Thats not true, all I know is that you cannot withdraw with in 48 hours of making a deposit. Ive withdrawn plenty from stars straight back onto my debit card.
Email support there normally fairly good and will reply within 24 hours.

Its been a while since ive posted on here, sticking to the pocketfives forum alot more. MTT's are going ok on stars but plenty of university work getting in the way of poker.

I'll be hitting Vegas for some of the early WSOP $1k events if anyone is going to be around?

OK, here it is...

Cashout Policy

Cashouts are automatically credited back to any and all of the following methods that you have used to make deposits, in the following order:

Cashouts

Cashouts are first processed back to the method(s) used to deposit. Within each deposit method, cashouts are then applied back to your oldest deposit first and your most recent deposit last. Due to changes in MasterCard's policy, we can no longer credit cashouts back to MasterCards.

We apologize if our cashout policy is an inconvenience, but this is a security feature designed to protect our customers against fraud. It ensures that no one can profit from misuse of another's account.
1. Maestro, Solo

When you make a cashout request, we will first cross-reference your request with any Maestro and Solo deposits you've made and will automatically credit cashouts back to Maestro and Solo accounts up to the amount purchased, from the oldest deposit, made with any of these methods, to the newest.
2. NETeller

If you have used NETeller to purchase, your cashouts will then be processed back to NETeller up to the amount purchased, again from the amount of your oldest NETeller deposit to the amount of your most recent deposit.

If your cashout is being applied back to a previous NETeller deposit that was made in any other currency than USD, your cashout will be converted into your NETeller account currency by PokerStars, before being sent to NETeller.

Note: This step does not apply to players in the US, Canada or Turkey. No cashouts will be processed to NETeller in these countries. Please view our Canadian FAQ or US FAQ pages for more information.
3. Moneybookers, CLICK2PAY and ClickandBuy

If you have used Moneybookers, CLICK2PAY or ClickandBuy to purchase, your cashouts will then be processed back to Moneybookers, CLICK2PAY or ClickandBuy up to the amount purchased, again from the amount of your oldest deposit to the amount of your most recent deposit. Please note that CLICK2PAY cashouts may not be available in all countries.
Receiving Your Winnings

If your cashout exceeds the total amount you've deposited that PokerStars is able to redeem, or you've used a method of deposit not listed above, you will have the following options to receive your funds:

* eChecks (only available in US and Canada after an eCheck deposit has cleared our system).
* CLICK2PAY (only available if you have made at least one purchase with CLICK2PAY. Cashouts may not be available in all countries).
* NETeller (not available in all countries)
* VISA (Visa is only available if you have made at least one purchase with a CFT eligible VISA and your cashout to VISA is from $100 to $6,500). Cashouts to VISA will be automatically converted by PokerStars from USD into the currency of the most recent CFT eligible VISA deposit.
* Moneybookers (only available if you have made at least one purchase with Moneybookers)
* ClickandBuy (only available if you have made at least one purchase with ClickandBuy)
* WebMoney (only available if you have made at least one purchase with WebMoney)
* Check in any of the following currencies:
o US Dollars
o Canadian Dollars
o Pounds Sterling
o Euros
o Australian Dollars
o Norwegian Kroner
o Swedish Kronor
o Danish Kroner
o Swiss Franc
* Direct Bank Transfer - your cashout is deposited directly into your bank account (only available in Australia, Austria, Canada, Germany, Japan, South Korea and the UK at this time).

How to Make a Cashout Request

To make a cashout request, login to your PokerStars account and visit the Cashier. Next, select the 'Cash Out' button. Input the amount you'd like to cash out and choose 'Submit'.

The following screen will display how your cashout will be processed. This is only an estimation of how your funds will be disbursed. We cannot guarantee that your cashout will be processed exactly as described, as this estimation does not take into account any temporary connectivity problems with outside processors or any issues pertaining to accounts outside of PokerStars.

Review the information on this screen carefully before you complete your cashout request. If you see that the card or account designated to receive your cashout has been cancelled or has expired, please cancel your cashout request and email us at support@pokerstars.com.

Cashouts processed back to previous deposits with NETeller, Moneybookers, CLICK2PAY or ClickandBuy will appear in your account within a few minutes.

Cashouts to NETeller, Moneybookers, CLICK2PAY and ClickandBuy that are above the total amount deposited, will be processed within 72 hours.

Credits, processed back to your previous amounts purchased with Maestro and Solo cards, will be sent for processing immediately, and will take 3-10 days to appear on your statement.

Cashouts, processed to CFT eligible VISA, Maestro and Solo cards that are above the total amount deposited, will be sent for processing within 72 hours. Please allow 3-10 days after your cashout has been processed for the funds to appear on your statement.

USD Checks will be delivered by regular mail and are expected to arrive within 15 business days. Non-USD checks under $1,000 USD equivalent will be sent by regular mail, and are expected to arrive within 15 business days. Non-USD checks over $1,000 USD equivalent will be delivered by courier and are expected to arrive within 7 business days. To be able to use our courier service, we will need your contact phone number and your address must not be a PO Box or rural route address.

Direct Bank Transfer cashouts will be sent for processing within 72 hours. Please allow 3-5 business days for the funds to appear in your bank account.

eChecks cashouts will be sent for processing within 72 hours. Please allow 3-10 business days for the funds to appear in your bank account.

An email notification from PokerStars will be sent to you confirming each transaction made within your PokerStars account. Always refer to your confirmation email after you've made a cashout to confirm how your funds were processed.

Please allow 48 hours from your last deposit before requesting to cash out.

In special cases, additional information may be required for a cashout to be processed.
How does conversion from USD to local currency work?

PokerStars uses Reuters exchange rates to convert players' funds from USD to local currency. PokerStars does not charge a conversion fee!
CFT Eligible VISA Cards

Cashouts back to VISA cards will be limited to cards eligible for Credit Fund Transfer (CFT). Most VISA cards issued by European and Canadian banks are CFT eligible. VISA cards issued by US banks are not eligible at the present time.

Good luck with Vegas!

I have sussed out the problem. On Sunday I cashed out to my debit card, I then won another decent sum in a tourney. I then tried to cash out some more but was unable to do so. I checked my bank balance today and Sunday's cash is now in my account, I went back PS and I am now able to cash out to my debit card again. It seems that whilst you have one transaction in progress you can't initiate another.

Cheers, Mike.

A high is the most overplayed hand online, notably AK, some players just chase it down blindly.

The thing is I pushed, not him, could understand if he tries to get me off the hand but he doesn't even think just insta calls, what the hell does he put me on to shove that AQ is ahead of. Earlier I got AK, I call a raise from small stack, then get one raise and another reraise, so am looking at AK out of position so fold, yet no one believes I had it otherwise I wouldn't have folded?

Pokerstars withdrawals: When I tried withdrawing, they told me that the withdrawal amount had to be over £100 to return it to the debit card. Othwerwise you have to use NetTeller. They make it as difficult as possible to withdraw, basically.

I finished 75th out of 8000 in the 1-point freeroll on PartyPoker last night. I was quite chuffed.

I could have lasted longer if I hadn't been so tired - I knew my Q's were beaten by Aces but needed to go to bed. In hindsight, I should have just sat out and gone to bed and let the blinds take me to a higher finish.

How are you doing now poolio. Raped again tonight, lost to FH over FH over nut flush, fair enough to the flat call with AA, didn't put him on it and was doomed on a JA10 flop, though he checked it down to the river where the FH hit.

Then reraise all in with JJ get called A9, hits runner runner runner backdoor straight on river.

Then get 10 10 about 36th of 40 with 18 paid, guy raises to 3 x BB, go all in for remaining 11 BB, at least he thinks about calling before matching my bet with K8 offsuit which FHouses. Meh.

Not so good at the moment Saul. I keep taking little breaks or playing small stakes but to no avail, I seem to come back and then get bad beat again :veryangry

Do you still use betfair poker? I have been playing there a little but last week I was all in preflop with KK 5 times in one day and EVERY time was up against AA, the chances of that are so slim.

No, client is crap and poor value for tourneys. With KK I am nearly up against AA every single time, or other PP who hit trips more often than not. The problem is that people 3 or 4 bet virtually any hand its hard to lay down your KK.

Got KK first hand of tourney, raise to 100, get reraised to 320, go all in, insta call, see 10 10 first card out 10. No one seems capable of either folding anything pre flop or being put off any hand. Thanks to the poker boom people think any hand is the nuts, there is no thought or skill involved any more.

I feel like the paul weller the more i know the less i understand.

Fairly large buy-ins, you cashing often?

Doing quite well at present, well a least until those games! Have to admit my bankroll has taken a blow and I will, for the time being lower the buy-ins. Have cashed out three times in the last ten days about $500.

Cheers, Mike.

Find the quality of play to be unchanged from $1 to $50 touranments, haven't played that much higher, the only difference is that people seem to have more money to waste and don't necessarily play any better.

I have a bit of a weird query and don't know if I am concerned over nothing....

I noticed a few weeks ago that emails I am getting from one poker site where my username is Poolio were using the wrong username in their content. However the username they were using is one that I use on several other sites poker and non-poker related. Is this just a coincidence or a possible security issue? To me it seems a bit of a coincidence.

I emailed them and they just apologised and strangely sent me $10 as a 'gesture of goodwill'. I then emailed back and asked why did it happen to which they just said it was an email error and there is another user who has a similar username who they confused it with...

I know I haven't been around much but I need a shoulder to cry on and I know you guys would always be there for me lol!!

You might remember a little while ago I was in a final qualifier for the Irish Open with 2 x $6500 packages on offer - I came 3rd

Last night I was in a final qualifier for GUKPT London - 2 x $3500 packages on offer

With 3 left I was chip leader and stacks of about 80k, 68k and 12k

I don't really need to bother typing the rest of the story do I :(

Sorry to hear that Paul! The luck will change! You going to come up to cardiff for the next APAT tournament? I saw that you gave the online open a shot!

I have just got fed up on tournament poker. Putting the hours in and then getting knocked out and having to leave with a minimal cash prize.

I have therefore taken the big step and started playing cash poker on Gala. Only had a 120 USD bankroll so started playing the 10/20. I have now increased the bankroll to around 300. I am playing 3 tables and generally winning about 70% of my sessions. I am finding the general standard quite appaling and it is clear that this is the way to make money! Maybe the redundancy could be a blessing in disguise!!

Well after working my bollocks off for a long time with Jon, the owner and main coach on the site, the new version of Pokertrikz is finally live. I'm rather proud of it - take a look - it provides the ability to upload and stream vids, plus reviews, articles, blogs, rakeback and we're going to build some kick-ass tools.

Looks very nice, however videos don't seem to work, going to take 40 minutes to download one, is this a streaming problem. What are you going to do with the site? Is this a free site?

Looks very nice, however videos don't seem to work, going to take 40 minutes to download one, is this a streaming problem. What are you going to do with the site? Is this a free site?

Hmm you should be able to view them just by clicking on the Play icon on the Flash movie. I know there's a bug currently where you can't skip through the video once it's started, but they do start (at least for me!) and in full screen they look just as good as the downloaded versions.

The site is completely free, although users are encouraged to sign up for Rakeback through the site - the idea is to provide a place for users to share blogs, poker videos, articles and reviews as well as a decent poker forum.

50% sign up bonus, up to $200 (not the best deal out there but better than nothing and can be cleared very quickly). Rakeback goes straight into your TitanPoker account.

I'm about to withdraw and start up my 3rd account with them (it pays to have a few sister-in-laws)...

Yes, I know. I virtually know what hands I am up against in any given situation, 90% of the time I get my money in ahead, and about 80% of the time I lose, its just become tedious. Though PLO has more variance, the players are bad and have little concept of the game and mostly limp or only ever raise with AAxx (any xx). Lots of pros are deserting NLHE because there is virtually zero edge. I have improved my game dramatically but am losing more which doesn't make any sense.

Getting your money in good 90% of the time doesn't sound like zero edge, it sounds like a huge edge. Regardless if you're not making money at 50NL (over a decent sample of hands) it's not down to the games being unbeatably tough - either a) poker is rigged b) you're one of the few unluckiest guys in the world or c) you need to improve your game. If you really think you are that unlucky you should log your hands in HEM and look up your Sklansky graph for independent verification.

Anyway I saw this and it made me chuckle:-
