View Full Version : Palace fans who buy tickets for their Scouse supporting mates...
DON'T!!!!
I couldn't give a **** how long you've known little Billy's dad, you are NOT going to buy them a ticket for this match in the home section.
People like this really f*ck me off. Every f*cking time we play a "big" club we end up with away fans in the home end, even in members only sections!!!

Totally agree. People who do this are a disgrace and letting their club down. If Liverpool fans want a ticket they can go in the away section.

Absolutely 100% behind you on this one.
Nothing worse than an away fan in the home end. God forbid there should be a scouser near me when Palace get there 12th goal of the first half http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/smile.gif .
Seriously though, I don't think that any "true" palace fans would dare do this. Its the "glory hunters" that we have to watch out for. Theses ba*****s are worse than the away fans. http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/mad.gif

totally agree - if they're liverpool fans they can get their own tickets in the away section.
We should be able to sell out the home seats without their help....!!!!

Have to say I get far more aggravated by casual Palace acquaintances who never usually go, suddenly expecting you to source their ticket requirements for them home & away.
Not only that, they usually expect:
seats right next to you, a cheap/free ticket ('cos you happened to have supplied one before), a lift up to Anfield etc, etc. If you are daft enough to let them sit near you, expect them to spent the whole game talking about the last time they were here.
Annoying arsewipes.

Looks like around 4,000 tickets are being given to Liverpool.
And number of tickets that season ticket holders and members can buy are not being limited at the moment!!!!
Which means that it is unlikely that there will be ANY tickets left to be put on General Sale (which is what one member of box office staff told me today)!!!

Agree. I hope no one posting on here is intending to be in the home sections at Gillingham on Boxing Day!

Seems to have gone all quite Rashid.... http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/smile.gif
Don't we get caught up in it some times ????

Well said Rashid, I disagree with all the postings above you, apart from Neil's. While i have no intention of buying tickets for Liverpudlians in the home section I cannot stop anyone else from doing or slag them off, even I don't particularly like it. Seems to be one law for opposition fans (eg "don't buy any tickets for Liverpool in the home sections" or "why did they give Sunderland the whole Arthur Waite?") and another law for us ("The allocation for Gillingham tickets is pathetic and yeah lets all go into the home section at Gillingham")

I've just had the little **** 16 year old who lives next door asking me to get him a ticket. He is a Man.Utd supporter and always tries to take the piss out of Palace, naturally I told him where to go.He cannot understand when I try to explain to him he should support his local team instead of watching a bunch of overpaid whinging *******s who play 160 odd miles away

I can't really believe that there will be any Liverpool 'supporters' in the Holmesdale. If there are, then good luck to them, because they will need it if Liverpool score.

Totally agree, I know a few Liverpool fans and I'm just waiting for the phone call. I shall tell them to go to Anfield to buy them! This will confuse them as they've never been there. Only buy tickets for Palace fans.

Sadly I'm outnumbered at work,(locally) by 3 to 1. Two have already asked me for tickets. No chance. As posted above, go to Anfield and try. They will need a map as they've never been there. Pathetic.

thought that must be the case - otherwise why was everyone queuing etc!!
Also if not every season ticket holder buys a ticket - there will be some left to go on general sale - as they are keeping people's seats till then......

Assuming there are 9000 season ticket holders who all go plus they get an extra 3000 for mates who want to go (all Palace hopefully!) and another 2000 members who dont have season tickets then I reckon they'll be 11000 tickets going on sale on Jan 3rd to non members.
They'll be a lot of cockney scousers amongst them and there isnt much anyone can do about it. Is there?

Eh, eh...Caaaaalm down!
When President Clinton and the Doog are smashing the ball into the old onion bag you'll be glad that there's a Cockney Liverpool fan sitting near you to give some abuse to!
It's all part of the 'craic' and adds to the atmosphere.
Anyway, who said Liverpool were a 'big' club anyway?
Whatever happens we STILL beat them 4-3 - it's etched in the history books until the end of time.
Surely we're big enough to play host to the poor disillusioned fools? After all, we are Palace, Super Palace from Selhurst.

the difference between palace fans in the home end at gillingham and scousers in the home end at palace is that palace have given them a large allocation of tickets whilst gillingham gave us f**k all.

Well, not to split hairs...but, regular Palace fans buying seats in the Gillingham home areas for a scruffy, hard-fought near-derby, is not quite like Croydon Liverpool supporters, who have only the haziest notion of where Liverpool is, buying tickets in the home areas of Selhurst for a semi-final (my son has a friend who is convinced Liverpool is in N. London, - it's the country and times we live in !)
BTW, you don't really expect the Croydon Liverpool supporters, to share a compound with all those rough, dirty northern-type scouse people do you ? Come on, be reasonable, they won't even be able to understand each other !!

I've only just started my new job and so should be trying to impress my new colleagues, I've already blown that with the bloke who sits opposite me who is a real (???) Liverpool fan who videos games on the telly and watches them the next day as he is too busy watching other programes at the time. He asked me to get him a ticket for him and another Surrey wannabe scouser..I said no and have risked making a enemy at work within 2 months of being there. Still you gotta have standards I say and buying tickets for people like him would mean a drop in standards. We haven't put up with several years of sh*ts footy only to let glorynuters sit next to us and p*ss us off, I'd rather have an empty seat next to me.

Why doesn't Jordan put stewards inside the gates instead of outside. We all know the score with the glorhunters who follow clubs like Liverpool, Chelsea & manure - they get through the gate big smile appears on their face, jacket gets undone - out comes the colours and they take their seat. If stewards were inside the gates, as they come through just pick em up, say thank you for giving the club your money, however you have broken a ground rule - we won't press charges this time, however you are required to leave. Simple enough isn't it Mr Jordan?

Very unneccesary, Eagle of the East. Why so much vitriol?
Anyone who seriously thinks moaning about Liverpool fans getting entry into Palace areas is going to have the slightest effect should wake up and smell the coffee. Its bound to happen when playing a club the size of Liverpool - no amount of huffing & puffing on here is going to change that fact.
If it upsets you so much, try thinking instead of all the money Palace would have missed out on if we were playing Fulham.

One other point of course - there shouldn't be too many Scousers sitting in Palace areas simply because the tickets were only on sale to us for such a long period before going on general sale (when there were hardly any left anyway).

Am having a fantastic time at work watching a colleague trying to get through to the Anfield box office because I am refusing to find out if there are any restricted view ones left in the Arthur Waite (which I had already refused trying to buy for him 2 weeks ago).

My problem is that I'm naive enough to believe in the trades description act.
If a ticket says "section only for home supporters, away fans will be evicted" I don't see any difference to buying a can of coke and finding that its full of tizer.
You get your money back right?
Anyhow I'm always drunk at these games and tend to pick fights with any part time glory hunters of whatever team.
Last time out a couple of Arsenal chutney ferrets gave my brother a bash after the game and got him locked up for his trouble.
Segregated stadia were designed to protect people from the likes of me!
