I have tried getting thru to the box office this morning and it is engaged. Please please please re-assure me by saying there will be 26K again for next Wednesday's game against Sunderland. All those BBSers who do not get to many home games, please make the effort so that it really will feel like we are back in the big time.

there was a reasonable queue last night - whether for liverpool away or sunderland home i don't know.

Hopefully people will want to come back for more having seen us play agains sunderland / liverpool at the ground or on tv...

everyone should be there so we can cheer the lads onto another victory over premeriship opposition.

Says it all really. We've done Leicester, Sunderland and Liverpool over. None of them are crap teams.

That's true. We've played four 'Premiership' games this season.

Won 3 and drawn 1. 10 points out of a possible 12. Surely we'd be top of the table after the first 4 games!

I'm currently holding in the phone queue for the Box Office at the moment, so I'd thought I'd type while waiting. Took me 30 mins to get through, waited for 15 mins and was then disconnected without ever speaking to anyone. Re-dialled for another 10 mins, got through again. At the moment, they're playing some awful dirge, aptly with the words 'in the twilight zone' in the song. Seems to be where I am at the right now. Been waiting for 10 mins now, just to speak to someone. Season ticket seats for Sunderland replay being held until Sunday!

Just got back from the Box Office (one of the few bonuses from working where I do) and it's complete mayhem. Good 30/40 yard queue forming as I left.

BUT I have my Liverpool tickets http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/smile.gif

Also noticed how Easyjet fares have tripled overnight http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/frown.gif looks like the train then.

I work evenings and have had the last 8 tuesdays off (alright yesterday was wednesday). Already got the Liverpool away game booked off so there is no way they will give next tuesday off as well so no Sunderland game for me. Does that make me a part timer then?

To be honest I wasn't going to go, I've been to Anfield 3 times already ( incl. the 2-1 victory http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/smile.gif ), but I was sitting here this morning imagining how good it'll be whatever the outcome and then I thought about the last couple of seasons and all the bad times we've had, and the next thing I knew I was in the Box Office saying 'Two tickets for Anfield please.'

If you want a plane ticket at the old price i have one spare return ticket. You can either pay 27 pounds to me or a donation to the BBS!

Just got through to ticket office to book 1/2 year season for my son.

No delay at all. Mind you did ring main admin number first, in error http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/wink.gif , and they put me through to an extremely pleasant young lady who couldn't be more helpful.

BTW £20 for 10 games is excellent value.

Fear ye much, serf Essex, for twas told in the Book of Richard the Forkbeard, that
tha tariff of ducets reduction be restricted to the month of Valentines.
Ye mead will still taste like a large sh*tty thing, and the piles on yon bottom will grow verily on the seats of tainted straw.

OUR BOX OFFICE IS THE WORST EVER.

Ive said it a million times but it is. I got my mum to try since 9.30 ALL DAY (while i was being a bloody irritating student as we are supposed to be) and shes been trying NON STOP and never even got to the answer phone. When I got back I had to Fax thru and ring some info number (where u cant book and dont ask me the number I cant remember) to check they had it (well thats put short). BUT IVE GOT MY TICKET AND AM GOING ON DA COACH AND HAVE THAT TOO WIF MY M ATES! All the hassle is over (and belive me if i told u the long story (WHICH I AM NOT GONNA DO!-lucky u-really) then ud know it was hassle!

BAD NEWS FOR NON MEBERS!

Being a season ticket holder I was ok and at bout 4.30pm was told there were only bout 1500 tickets left and we should sell out! BUT the bloke said looks like they will sell out to members before general sale is issued!

I know there are a lot of non-member loyal fans who may be irritated (yes loyal fans dont have to be members! there are stupid people for whatever reason dont get mebership or season tickets but go to almost every game home or away!)

earlier in the week - I got through on about the 10th go ... if you waited till we got a good result last night - then it was always going to take longer to get through.

As for the ticket allocation - tickets are on sale to season ticket holders, members and those supporters who can produce a ticket stub from any of the earlier away legs of the Worthington Cup.

issue of 2 per person

don't want to start another loyalty discussion - but we've only got 3000 and most of those are people who wouldn't have gone if we'd got beaten last night - I think it's pretty fair - especially as you CAN if necessary get one for someone else. If I didn't have a season ticket, wasn't a member, and hadn't been to any worthington cup away ties - I'd expect to be further down the pecking order to get tickets - but if I really wanted to go I'd ask someone who was / had to get me a ticket. Simple really! http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/smile.gif

Agreed, the Sunderland match is not live on telly and, hot on the heels of the Liverpool game, let's hope the part-timers come back for more.

Another atmosphere like that would be magic. http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/smile.gif

Do you think we'll be able to get Holmesdale tickets on the day or will I have to ring up??

And are the kids tickets £5 again?

clockhouse
12-01-2001, 04:39 AM
Anti, box office said concessions are £5, like last time. Doubt they'll be many Holmesdale tickets, if any, on the night. Seats that are not held by season ticket holders are on sale now and season ticket seats not claimed by Sunday go on general sale on Monday morning.

It said in last night's programme that you could fax through your order. I don't have the number but presumably the switchboard would give it to you.

If you have problems getting through by phone, fax your order for tickets through.

I spoke to a "very nice lady" and she gave me the idea to fax through.

The number is 0208 653 4708.

Just put down your season ticket reference or seat/row number and your debit/credit number and expiry date and you'll get your ticket.

Surely nobody is seriously suggesting that we will need tickets for the sunderland game?
if we do, great. but i would be vv surprised, especially given the number of cup ties we have had over an expensive time of year.

I emailed the box office and asked them to call me back which they duly did - I now have 4 tickets for Anfield winging their way to me.

How else are you going to get in without a ticket?

Apparantly the travel club are already on coach no.12 for the Anfield trip, so that is indicative of a hoard of Palace going there. I would have preferred to drive but after feeling so good on Wednesday, I know my driving on the way home would be too eratic if we win!

fantastic - 12 coaches - couple of packed planes - few on the trains - and re rest driving..

think we might sell out our 3,000?

Having failed for three days to get through to the box office, I've emailed them and requested they put my ticket aside and I'll pick it up Monday. The response the last time I emailed the club was pretty good, so I'm hopeful I'll be successful again.
