OK, so who is Flying to Liverpool? Myself and Flange are, along with 3 Non BBSing Palace boys.
We are getting the 5pm flight from Luton and the 12pm(ish) flight back on the next day.
We are still looking at what hotel to stay at.
The Bloke I just spoke to at EasyJet said, and I quote ... " there are loads of seats still available..." on all flights to and from Liverpool.
So as a running total, that is 5 Palace on the 5 o'clock flight.
Come on Boys, Lets turn EasyJet's orange, Red and Blue.

The airport is quite near the town centre , but the cabs are awful. Last year there was quite a lot of Palace on the flights for the Tranmere game but the cabbie got lost!!

I have three seats on the 1700 flight coming back 0620 the next morning. Now for the hotel - the Crown Plaza in the Docks is good but seeing as likey to be in the room for about 4 hrs probably more worthwhile booking in the Adelphi.

I was thinking of posting the 5pm flight details on the nsc site to see what they would make of it, i'm sure amongst all their fans they must know someone who knows how to pull off a proper bomb scare hoax(you need a code these days). It would be such a shame if it was late.

Theres 3 of us going up on the 7-30am flight and returning on the lunch time flight.
We've booked the adelphi,a room for 3 costs £90.
Make that another x3 on the 5pm flight. Returning the following day on the midday flight. Staying at the Moat House Hotel, room for x3 £87.
I presume there is a bar at Luton for some early arrivals!!

Oh what to do! I want to go, I really do, but what option do I take?
Do I take 1 day off work and get the 5:00 PM flight, hope it isn't delayed ( a REAL worry surely), rush to the ground without really having a drink or two in a nice pub and see the game, before having a few drinks, going to bed and getting up early to rush back to work the very next afternoon? *KNACKERING*
Or do I take 1.5 days of work and either have a good old drinkup before the game/the day after the game, but end up being rushed one way or the other.
Or do I take the nicest, but most holiday sapping option and take 2 precious days off work, but have plenty of time before and after the game to celebrate the result (whatever it may be) Palace stylee?
Or do I just stay at home and watch it on TV, thus saving a lot of money, hassle and holiday.
Answers on a postcard please.

Or do I annoy the hell of the rest of the BBS because I'm so indecisive?
I also admire the faith shown in easyjet's punctuatilty of those who are flying on 17:00!

If I'm annoying you then I must be going right somewhere! http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/wink.gif
I think I might go for the 2 day option and get the early flight out and the lunchtime flight back. Then again I could always take the 5:15AM train, getting the 6:33AM from Strathclyde and end up at Anfield at 4:11PM, OR I could...I'll get me coat.
I'm on the 5pm. Do you think all of us on the flight should contact EasyJet so they are fully aware how inportant the flight is. Also is there a trainstation at Luton Airport and how do you get there from London?

Doc, i dont think phoning them up and saying you have to fly up there will make an ounce of difference.Last couple of days they have left people stranded at Luton and Liverpool airports because they Forgot(?? dont they watch the weather forecasts)to anti freeze their planes. All of you flying up there all the best but I will leave it to a last minute decision as to how to get up thee

Calm yourself Doc. There is a train station (Luton Airport Parkway) - you can get a Thameslink train direct from East Croydon.
Then you get a free shuttle bus from the station to the airport, about five mins away.
Easyjet flights are famous for their punctuality. Obviously when the airport was closed the other day there were problems, but I'm not worried at all. http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/smile.gif
That 5pm flight should be true red and blue - I can't wait.

my friend Andy tried for 2 days to get to Edinburh over the holiday period and eventually gave up and is awaiting his refund from easyjet.
I've never caught an easyjet flight that has been on time, I was left stranded in Nice once too without any info or announcements or easyjet staff.

Shove yer letter up your ass, keep on standing.
I too am a little apprehensive about the 5pm flight but getting to Liverpool at 8:30am for me would be a disaster. I have just E mailed Easyjet informing them of the importance of the 5pm flight (I note the price goes up every day). This may be niave but I would suggest that if they were bombarded with E mails from the entire CPFC contingent on the flight, it would be difficult for them at the very least to not TRY to get us there on time!!! I stressed the PR disaster it would be if they failed us.........everyone go ahead and let them know why this flight is full.
PS I note they sneaked out the fact the away tickets were on sale today. phew got through and everything is now in place!!

There is a bar in Luton airport a large one down stairs and a small on by the gates for the liverpool flight. I know this because I tend to Fly down to London on Business once a month, it's cheaper than train or car.
Be careful if you go into the bar downstairs you cannot hear the tannoy system calling the last passangers for flights. I know this because I nearly missed ny flight last time.
The taxi fair into liverpool city centre or to the Grounds, in a black cab, will work out about 15 quid maximum, about 3 quid each
Cheers

Oh as if any of us will be drinking before the flight. http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/rolleyes.gif
Thanks for the top info though.
Don't worry about the Flight not getting there lads. Lets just all have faith in Stelios (??). I won't be worrying unless the flight is cancelled, all the bars run dry and sky's satellite gets hit by an unmanned space station.
Oh in case anyone is wandering the tickets have now gone on sale for this match. Priced at about £13-4. (sorry I can't remember exactly).

Still a bit anxious. Is everything going to be OK? If we end up being delayed I will have to kill someone. I assume they know the importance of the flight...bit do they care....I see there share prices are rocketing.
