Of course if your feeling risk averse today you can pretty much tie in a profit of about £8 with that Hills offer. Bet at WH lay at Betfair for a small qualifying loss and then the same for the Northumberland Plate.. 80% is a realistic return.

Perhaps the answer is to do much smaller stakes, 5p or 10p L15's etc, until you have a day where you see your form start to change. With the odds of the horses (which are getting really close to winning) you select you only need 3 up and, even with 10p stakes you'll make a fair few quid. Only a suggestion :)

I can afford the losses evvo (otherwise I wouldn't be betting) - it's just a bit frustrating is all. As for seeing form start to change - if we knew when that was likely to be then we'd all be richer! :)
It's not that I'm picking the wrong horses anyway as most of them are going close - I'd just rather they finished last than 2nd - six 2nd places yesterday from eight selections!

Sorry, I didn't mean that you couldn't afford it, just that whilst the form/luck(?) is going against you at least, with smaller stakes, it softens the blow a bit when you have a day like yesterday.

Ok Workforce V SYT. Personally, I can't believe Workforce is 2/1 at Ladbrokes. Arc Winner, looks stronger than last year, wasn't wound up for first race of the season. In contrast, SYT has had 3 races, and I wasn't impressed by that Ascot performance.
Don't be taken in by the fact is a shorter trip , the stiff uphill finish at Sandown probably is the equivalent of an extra furlong.

I like Workforce as it has won me a lot of money in the past, but I think SYT will be winning this. Both the trip and ground will heavily be in SYT's favour - Confront may turn it into a stamina test but I think it is a good thing for SYT backers that Moore doesn't ride this, and I'm sure he would rather be riding SYT this race. Both horses share equal ratings but SYT is faster and over a mile and a quarter on good to firm should be winning.
Toss that in with Stoute's lack of winners, compared to O'Brien's who are flying in all over the shop and I can see only one result. Really is a two horse race, can't see Snow Fairy being fully fit after the setbacks.
Like Gooders, I'll just be watching.

I've got Ante-post bets on Workforce in the Coral, King George and Arc. Really think it's a super horse.
My tip of the day is:
Nott 8.10 - Lady Chloe. Has had 3 strong runs this year, the last one being the most impressive.
Also fancy Dubai Queen
In the 2.35, Start Right and Sooraah, not sure which to pick. Bet on Start Right before this season and it's very high in the weights. Pick one for me :p
